Air conditioner stops completely. Cannot turn it

Air conditioner stops completely. Cannot turn it back on. There is no rhyme or reason for when it decides to turn itself off. I have never set the timer. Unit is two weeks old.

I have a 2002 Buick Century and my heater will blow air but only heats air occasionally.

If you know where the heater hoses are, lift the hood after car has warmed up I mean the engine running for at least five minutes, feel the heater hoses, if they are warm or hot and still no heat from the heater, you have an in line proiblem. if hoses remain cold, replace the thermostat with a winter thermostat.

My Kenmore 70088 a/c turns on and off by itself. It is on cool mode not the energy saving on off power this perhaps a short on the power digital panel?

If the unit is cooling as it should and it turns OFF after the temperature you have it set for is reached and then turns back ON once the temp drops 3 to 5 degrees, it's working as it should. There is no reason for it to run constantly if it's cooling and reaching the set temperature.

If the above is not the case, tan yes, there may be a problem with the control panel, as well as the air intake filter may need to removed and cleaned.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Please check the auto programmed ON/OFF on your remote commander. May be the auto programming is running that run your air conditioner all time without stop. Check also your temperature setting. To hard reset your remote , remove the battery and wait for 1 hour and replace the battery. If your remote has reset button just go has it reset.

A/C window unit does not turn on

Let it cool off for an hour. (time is related to how hot the ambiant temp is around the compressor. The compressor is thermally protected from overload. When you turned it back on so quickly with the system already had a high pressure built up, you overloaded the capacitor.

If it got to 22 degrees the Ac unit should have self destructed. What brand and model is that unit?

AC/heater fan on 1992 Buick LeSabre only works intermittently

Could be a bad control switch, relay or connection and ground at motor itself. Since it's intermittent, check voltages when it's working, then again when it's not. Wherever voltage stops, that's what you need to replace. Don't wait on this...when completely inoperative it gets much harder to find the problem!

Thats just a ground wire that connected on the bottom tray of the a.c. to the case to prevent shock. The fan blades in the back part of the unit has debris stopping the blades from rotating or the blades are jammed aganist the back shroud due to not inserted in straight .
