My radio knobs and display stopped working, but the stations can be changed with the steering wheel controls.

Hello Monica Briggs,

I've been into three different "wheel control" sound systems...

One for sure had a SEPARATE FUSE for the radio (FACE versus STEERING-WHEEL) controls...
(that was ... Find THE OPERATED FUSE & replace it).

Two was a SIMPLE RESEAT (unplug/re-plug) of the REMOVABLE face plate...

Three most interesting by far was a STUNNED radio...
Last operated from the steering wheel ... would respond to no inputs (any-source).

Thanks to Bill Gates (BLUE SCREEN of D**TH) training the WORLD on the POWER-RESTART ... We simply disconnected the CAR Battery for a minute... put it back together... set the time & stations.. and pretended we knew what we were doing...

Hope this is at least inspiring... Good luck.

NO power to the radio or clock

Did you actually check the radio plug for power, or does the display just not illuminate? I ask because this radio has a little bulb inside that burns out that illuminates the clock, and radio station. You can confirm this by trying to use the radio normally, and trying to 'seek' a station. If you can get it to tune in, it is definitely the bulb. Another way is to shine a nice bright flashlight into the clock face. You should be able to see the stations and clock, that at least will tell you that the radio is working. - Hope this helps =)

My 2 way radio is not working. When I put batteries in and turn it on, one turns on normally but when I trie to press the talk button it looks like it will work but makes a sound like when a phone signal...

when you press the PTT button it takes much current to operate if it didn't get much current it sounds a beep sound try it by fully charged battery if not you have to replace your battery

My 1998 Chrysler Town and Country LXi mini-van radio does not work. Have an "Err" code displaying on radio when I try to use the CD player. Also when I turn on the radio there is a click sound...

Chances are there is a problem with the radio itself, and it needs to be replaced. You can find used radio suppliers on ebay, and most will answer simple questions via email to help you.

The clicking you hear near the fuse panel is probably an external amplifier on the system, my 2003 Durango has one as well. Normally you wouldn't hear the click because the stereo would be playing.

There should be a tiny model identifier on the face of the radio near the clock (RAZ, RBD, etc) which will help in figuring out the problem.

My radio in my 2007 Acadia works fine , but the display just went blank .....Is there a separate fuse for the display ??? Thanks in Advance !!!

Unfotunately not. there is normally a small globe or LED running the face display. Remove the radio and open it up. Check the face side for any light bulb or LED. If it is a light bulb, you should be able to get a replacement part, Otherwise send it in for a repair. Hope this helps.

Kdc-x993 - power to head, but no display when face is installed. the cd eject button is blinking but when i install the face, the display will not come up.

you dont have power to the ignition wire on the radio(red wire) the yellow wire should have constant power(12 volt) check your radio fuse in the fuse block on the car or on the red wire itself

2003 E class elegance.radio wouldn't turn off now no display

the fuse and power supply box is located on the left side of the trunk behind the little panel. pull the 40 amp fuse for the sound system in that panel in the trunk. I believe its an orange fuse, 5-7 slots from the bottom. should be the only 40 amp fuse on the bottom half of that fuse panel. check the fuse chart behind the triangular panel on the left side of the dash. pull the fuse for 15 seconds and reboot the comand system. if the system doesnt reboot and operate normal, then 1 or more of the audio control modules is taking down the whole system through its fiber optic ring.

Jvc kd-66060 cd player problems

if the car battery had gone dead while it was in the garage you may have to press the reset button on the radio( if there is one, it would be behind the face and there will be raised print that says reset) if there is no reset button you can unplug the radio harness for about a minute or so to reset it.sometimes the fuse for the 12 volt ingnition can be the problem( on your radio it would be the fuse connected the red wire-if it is ejecting and giving you display the fuse connected to the yellow wire is good-
