Question about Televison & Video
Since there is only the power light on your set the SMPS of your DVD seems to work. In such a case it is important that you will have to check on the electronic circuit . Hence if you are familiar with electronis please check accordingly on the power and the main boards. You will have to check for all the power coming out of the power supply unit. The + 5 to the main mP of the main board controlling the panel controls also should be checked for working of the mP. If you are not familiar then get help from a friend with working knowledge to trace and if you find the main board faulty it is important find out the cost before thinking of changing as the prices of new sets arre pretty down . Hence you can confirm and decide accordingly. Hope this advice help to decide. Good day
