    whenever i try to charge my ipod or put new songs on it, it stays on the apple screen. it doesn't charge.

    i plugged my ipod into the computer and it was supposed to be charging but it's frozen

    I plug my nano into the computer and it was done charging so i took it off and now its frozen

    when i plugged it into computer it didn't come up and now its frozen but you have to let the power run out then it will start working

Place on a flat surface and press in the centre of the middle button and at the very top of the click circle. This worked for me so hopefully it will work for you. good luck

put the hold button on and then off then hold the center button and menu button at same time for a few seconds it will go to a black screen for a minute and then if u got it in ur computer it will say do not disconnect i dont know anymroe than that cuz mines doing it right now =(

Press and hold the center button while holding down the menu button. This will reboot your Ipod. Check your IPod cable to see if its shorted. If might have transferred a song and crash in the middle of the transfer.

  1. Toggle the Hold switch. To do this, slide the switch toHold (an orange bar appears) and then slide it back (orange bar ishidden).
  2. Reset the iPod by holding down the Menu and Center buttons for 10 seconds.
    • Ifthe Apple logo appears on the display, connect the iPod to a computerand verify that it appears in iTunes and can play music. If the iPodappears in iTunes and can play music, no further troubleshooting isneeded.
    • If the Apple logo does not appear or the iPodis not seen in iTunes, connect the iPod to a power source by eitherplugging it into an Apple iPod USB Power Adapter or directly into acomputer's USB port.
  3. Let the iPod charge for at least 20 minutes. Note: If the iPod is connected to a computer, make sure the computer is not set to sleep, standby, or hibernate.
  4. Afterthe iPod has charged for at least 20 minutes and while it is stillconnected to the power source, toggle the Hold switch again as in step1.
  5. Try resetting the iPod by holding down the Menu and Center buttons for 10 seconds.
    • Ifthe Apple logo appears on the display, connect the iPod to a computerand verify that it appears in iTunes and can play music. If the iPodappears in iTunes and can play music, no further troubleshooting isneeded.
    • If the Apple logo does not appear or the iPod is not seen in iTunes, the iPod should be serviced.

Ipod 2gb is on but completely frozen!


you can try to toggle the hold switch to on (red) then off then press and hold the middle button and the manuel button at the same time untill the apple logo reappears

To user VIVS919, even though you lost the reciept you can call apple at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273) They should replace your iPod under warranty. {Just don't admit to any "accidental" damage}

Reset, Retry, Restart, Reinstall, Restore
