Amana NFW7200TW makes clicking sound at spin

Amana NFW7200TW makes a loud clicking sound when going into spin cycle. Turn drum fine when washing, pump removes water but it begins to make a loud clicking sound while trying to turn the the drum the opposite way for spin. Sounds like a transmission not going into gear.

SOURCE: "howling" noise during spin cycle (still there after changing burned off belt)

Travioso, there was two service flashes out on this model concerning the seal and bearing which means they had an issue with this washer. The howling noise you are hearing is the bearing and will need the new designed triple seal and bearing kit. This should be covered under your warranty, I believe it is 5 years. The numbers for the service flashes are TDL-0048A-B. Call Maytag and inquire about these service flashes, these should be covered. Catriver.

SOURCE: We have a Maytag Epic Z front load washing machine

You better not to separate the inner and outer tubs as it's quite a job and takes a lot of effort.
Try to remove the heater on the very bottom of the front half of the outer tub. From outside it looks like an oval metal piece with a terminal on each side, a nut (or screw) in the center and a plug with 2 wires coming to it. UNPLUG THE WASHER as the heater is connected to the hot wire all the time.
Remove the nut (or screw) in the center of the heater and pull the heater out. Now you have a nice opening in the bottom between the tubs. There is a heater bracket, made of a thick wire inside. Make sure not to damage it when trying to remove whatever there is inside. Make sure the heater is aligned in the bracket when assembling it back together.

Good luck.

SOURCE: My Amana LW4303W washing made a loud bang noise,

Hi.

You have broken the drum bearing, it is the part located at the bottom of the tub, the drum bearing if fixed at the back of the drum.

Here all parts and diagrams for your model.

Amana nfw7200tw will not run. all wash settings read 1 extra minute. Is this a code or something like that?

have you tried unplugging and resetting the computer, it seams hung in the last cycle, can you open the door and remove all inside, reset it again and try it, the washer sounds like it has water in it and needs to drain first,if it is full of water you have to drain it, by moving it and taken the drain hose off the pump,if that's the case i recommend flushing the inside with hot water and some bleach right through the front door or reservoir on top, after you get it emptied, the water sensor may be full of soap, by the way the soap your putting in this machine should only be about a 6th of a cup, I know it sound crazy but a half or a 3rd is to much, for the sensors, try this an get back to me,Matt

I have a similar problem with a Kenmore top loader washing machine. It turned out a problem with the main shaft of the drum; it wears out and caused drag on it. at one point i installed a washer or spacer between the shaft and drum it worked for a while and the problem came back again. it is a mechanical problem and it is present with other brands that share the same drum and shaft.
Finally I end up buying a different brand this time a LG .

Washer will not advane from wash to rinse

It sounds like, when the dial gets to the pump stage, the contact expected to pump the water out isn't making contact. That could be a burnt contact within the controller, or a loose wire to to the pump from that section of the controller. Once the weight, or water level was low enough from your pumping it out, the sensor that checks the level/pressure allowed the spin. The problem could be on the control board too.

Here's an incomplete schematic I found:

My kenmore series 80 washing machine makes a clicking sound during the spin cycle.

Might be something lodged in the drain pipe on the drum, such as a coin or similar object.

My amana front load washer wont spin and is showing an "nd" error message. what does this mean and how do i fix it?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. From what I understand the error code ND means “No Drain issue”. You’ll need to check for any restriction in pump assembly. It can also be due to a restricted drain hose or loose wire at pump. If after cleaning the drain hose the issue is not resolved then it means the pump has gone bad and unfortunately needs to be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
