What is your question? Freon, refrigerant, and oil flow together. Sometimes an acumulator/receiver/oil separator is used to keep the compressor from flooding with liquid

How do you convert from r12 to134a

Recover R12 then flush system. Change drier or receiver tank depending what vehicle you have. Change expansion valve or orifice tube again depending what vehicle you have. Install the R134a Hi and Low service ports and put the correct amount of compressor oil for R134a freon into compressor. Pull unit into a vacume for about 15min. and leave it set for another 15 or 20min. to make sure it stays in a vacume and there are no leaks. If it holds a vacume charge the unit with the correct amount of R134a and run unit and check that it operates and cools properly. If all is good install the service port caps and your done.

Can 134a refrigerant be put into a R12 a/c system?

no --it cannot. R12 gas operates at a far lower pressure that r134a so if you want to use r134a gas you will have to replace compressor ,evaporator and condenser and have a cooling fan for the condenser fitted

It sounds like you've done just about everything except to check if there is a bad or intermittent wire causing this or perhaps your low-pressure safety cutout switch is possible going bad causing the compressor to kick on and off?

Air Conditioning don't get cool I check the freon and replace it....but still not

First, does the compressor rotate around the pulley area when the a/c is turned on?

Also, does the fan turn on at the radiator when the a/c is turned on?

Also, is the a/c blowing through the vents?

How much pressure is on the low side when the compressor is turning? It should be 25psi to 45 psi on the low side according to the gauge connected to the hose which is connected to the can of freon.

I usually recommend putting some of that arctic freeze r134a in cars. It has a leak seal and lubricant, and a special additive invented and approved by NASA that helps to cool 50% faster and more efficiently than regular r134a.

Many people experience leaks that can require 2 or 3 cans of r134a if it leaked out.

Good luck on this repair.

Air is not very cold on a rv roof top ac what tools are needed in recharge

You should have the manual for this unit handy and as far as recharging tools go. You only need a can of R134a *(if the unit is R12 you need to buy upgrade adapters since R12 is no longer sold) Run the unit and put the R134a filler line on the low pressure side of the compressor *(from manual...dont guess as trying to charge the high pressure side is VERY dangerous). Get the charge just into the Green zone on your charger and that is it! Try not to fill too high in the green zone....I know it sounds funny...but AC's usually work better when they have the low end of their optimum fill. R134a doesnt work as well as R12 so be sure you buy the R134a with cooling enhancers. Your local Autozone can guide you to the right filler/product combination.

Good luck and be careful!

What type of freon is in a 1994 GMC Suburban

There should be a lable underhood.but probably had R-12,Best to go ahead and convert to R134A.Recommend replace reciever drier ,buy conversion fittings from parts house for 134A,remove compressor turn upside down and rotate clutch by hand to get as much oil out as you can, then pour in aprox 4 oz pag oil.Reinstall, change orfice tube the will need aprox 12 oz R134A to replace 16oz R-12.Buy R134A at walmart cheaper than all parts houses by at least $2.00 a can.Cgarge till low side preasure at aprox 40 to 45 psi and gigh side 200 to 250 psi.Should cool fine.

2001 Mustang Gt A/C not cooling

You might not have enough R134A in it the system should hold 3 - 5 lbs of pressure if I remeber right. But if the clutch is kicking in then its working but you might not have enough R134A. Buy the kit that has the pressure guage with a trigger on it so you can add what you need. When you fill it turn car on and ac on high then fill it. When ac is off the clutch should spin freely if not then your compressor is junk. As for the slight grinding noise just to make sure with CAR OFF turn the clutch on the compressor and make sure its not rubbing the pulley on the compressor.
