Try changing the cmos battery on the motherboard.
OR your PC could be overheating, check your bios to see if the thermal shutdown temperature is set too low.(assuming you can get into the bios)
Recommend new thermal paste on cpu, ensure fan/s are working.

Make Frequent Backups

This is a very important tip that should be taken seriously. You never know exactly what will happen in the computer world. You might be downloading one file and the next second your staring at the "Blue Screen of Death" It's very serious and important that you make frequent backups of your computer.

There are many backup programs out on the market but the most used by regular computer users would have to be the integrated Windows Backup program. It's easy, fast, and simple to use but it might not serve your purpose. Here are two levels of computer users that I categorize for certain backup programs:

Regular Users - Windows Backup
Users that install programs often and mainly use the computer for entertainment, documenting, and other things like that in a single computer network.

Power Users - Norton Ghost
This group is for programmers, hackers, administrators, and other positions of that sort. Programmers and hackers tend to kill their machines with intense viruses and programs which feed themselves in Windows Backup files. It can't hurt using both of the programs, just be smart about how you use them.

My computer has been frequently shut down

When Windows does not shutdown properly it can leave behind a lot of files that will cause your system to run slowly. I recommend you download and install CCleaner ( run this program once install. It will clean up these files and help with system performance, you can also run the Registry cleaner in it as well, this will find and fix registry issues. The reboot your computer after these steps are done and seen how it performs. I install this application on all computer I support and run it daily, the users could not be any happier with the performance. Another step I recommend you do after this is Defrag the drive, with help with performance as well.

Medion PC

From what I can tell is that the CPU fan is the problem. The CPU fan is probably what is whining right now, so if you want you can try and replace it. Also if it shuts down frequently, that's probably because the CPU fan isn't cooling your processor adequately, so the processor overheats, and the computer shuts itself down automatically.
