Depends how handy you are. I buy broken ones (lens stuck, wont work etc but no crack in screen) on ebay for ~<$25. To get it repaired in a camera shop is not worth it. I love this camera, you can get it now (perfectly O.K) for <$50, on ebay: item# 230505313560 230505313571

The screen on my samsung LT210 dual view camera must be broken. The front view is fine and the camera still works but the larger screen to view normal pictures has been damaged and I cannot see the...

From your description you would be further ahead to buy a new camera, you stated there are no repair shops where you live, and to send it away would be expensive probably costing more than a new one. The only other option is go on ebay to price a new screen, but you will need the skills to take it apart and soldering may be required to replace the panel display.

Kid dropped camera and the view screen is broken. Can it be fixed or just buy new one

It can be fixed, but it may or not be worth the cost. The price of a fix can easily approach the cost of a new camera, and repairs typically only carry a 30-day warranty. I suggest that you take it to a local camera shop/Sanyo distributor (NOT the camera department in a chain store) or contact Sanyo customer service directly via their web site. Be sure to get a firm price, not just an estimate, before you commit to anything.

Casio Exilim Dropped and smashed digital screen on the back camera still takes good photo's but unable to view on camera or set up shot. How much will this repair cost me? more than the camera is worth?

Yes more than likely Casio would charge more than the camera is worth to fix it. You could call them and ask them and sometimes if it does cost more than new they will offer you can upgrade.

Dropped Camera - Lens won't close

Generally speaking if your camera cost $500 or less, and you can't fix it yourself, it is cheaper to just buy a new one.

Camera dropped all writing on lcd screen is reversed

These camera break very easy. If it was dropped, you are lucky it still takes pictures. I have dropped a few myself. I will cost you more to have it fixed and still there won't be any guarentees of operation. If it is new, take it back to the store and exchange it. Don't wait long. Some stores will only take it back up to 30 days. The company will replace it up to 90 days. It should say on the warrenty. It is best just to replace it if these other options are not available to you.

If this helps, please rate me. Thanks, Patty
