Have just upgraded to Vista SP1 however when I transfer pictures from my Sony P92 the images are corrupt. If I load them onto a PC running XP the same pictures are fine - any ideas ?

Thanks for that however Sony helped me sort the problem. Sony digitals will not neccessarily connect correctly to Vista through a USB hub. Connecting it direct to mobo sorted the prob.

Sony DSC-P92 driver needed

You neglected to specify the operating system for which you want the driver. Sony has drivers from some operating systems here.
You don't need a driver in order to download photos from the camera to a computer so you can burn them onto a CD.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

Can't use VPC-CG9 as PC camera.

I don't know why this wouldn't work on Vista HP, but this excerpt from the manual suggests that your XP SP1 Pro would not work without the SP2 rollup:

"Please perform the following upgrades before connecting the camera to a computer.
-Upgrade Windows XP to SP2.
Install Windows XP SP2.
-Install Windows Messenger 5.0 or later version.
Download Windows Messenger 5.0 or later version, and install it.
-If using MSN Messenger, please install MSN Messenger 7.0 or later
version."

Perhaps if you are following the steps exactly in the manual and it still does not work, upgrading Messenger will magically help.

Cannot transfer images from camera to computer

you need to check your driver is installed correctly/ you could try downloading the latest drivers from the manu website
http://support.sony-europe.com/dime/digistill/cyber/cyber.asp?l=en&m=DSC-P92

you need to check that there are no devices listed under "Other devices" in device manager, if there are, you should delete them and re-detect

DSC T20 poor image problem

If you took the images at 8MP or 5MP settings, then normally you have a high resolution picture, was the picture clear at the cameras LCD monitor? As you said its like low res in your PC, please check the image file size 8MP resolution will be approx. 3Mb size, if its about that figure, then the problem is in the camera, if the file size is about 500K maybe its in the camera settings, PC cant affect resolution, unless you only have VGA card and monitor, hope this will help, thanks
