Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I am getting repeated and constent "alert notification" sounds. Every time it happens my computer locks up for a moment but there are so many of them it's making my puter almost unusable. The events view is showing a couple of "audit success" entries every minute. I am getting the sounds/lock ups every time I open a window, close a window, scroll, click on a form field or button. How can I stop this. I have windows 7 home edition

To see if the problem are really caused by the sounds just disable them all from: right click on the empty are of desktop, Personalize, Sounds and select No Sounds from the list of Sound Scheme options and click the OK button. If that fixes it and you still want some sounds back just go back there and create your own set of sounds.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

TEXT ALERT

I use SMS Popup (from the Play Store) for repeating text message reminders. It has other functions, but I primarily use the 'reminder' options. I'm not sure if you could (or should) do 5 to 10 second intervals as it would probably kill your battery. I think that 1 minute is the minimum. I guess you could also use a notification sound that is longer. You could even record your own. I once recorded myself coughing and used it as the notification.

Message(s) Received

From the Main Menu, go to:

Tools

Control Panel

Device

Sounds & alerts

Message alerts

On the display, place a check on the tick box before the "Display notification" tab.

This will enable the message notification whenever you receive messages on your phone. I hope this helps. =)

Notification alert for calendar items on Samsung i780

Hi there!
Try to click the bell icon when you set your alarm and see if you have checked the box for "play sound".
Also, verify if your volume is up and not in "Off" mode.
Also, go to Settings, click Sounds and Notifications. Verify if you were able to check the "Enable sounds for programs" box and make sure the notifications box is checked.
And on the notifications tab select "Reminders" from the drop down menu for "Event" and ensure that "Play sound" and "repeat" are checked.
Hope this will solve your problem!
