Hi, you have symptoms of a failing video card. It is onboard integrated in the mainboard of the laptop and cannot be replaced. Normally caused by constant overheating. Get a compressed air cannister and blow the holes and air vents under the casing (while laptop is OFF). This is just remedial. Also try using an external monitor (VGA) just for comparison.
Take care

It is a bad LCD. It may just be bad timing. Buy a new display on eBay for $50 and look up a video on how to replace the LCD on your particular laptop model. When ordereing, make certain to order the correct display! Matt finish versus glossy and screen size.

White horizontal lines appear in the screen

you may just need to reseat the cables. basically all you have to do is take the keyboard bezel off of the laptop and disconnect and reconnect the cables on the lcd. you usually do not need to unscrew anything but a pick would help. Just simply pry it off using a pick or small flatheadd80ef8a.jpg
