Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

My GE WBXR1060TAWW clothes washer is leaking significant amounts of water. It seems to be draining correctly, but there is still some water left in the machine after running. Please advise. Thanks.

I've done this but can't actually see or feel anything. Do I need to take the machine apart?

You have something stuck inside the Washing machine pump assembly, you could tip over the machine disconnect the drain holes and look in the pump and clear what ever is jammed inside. <<<Remember to disconnect the power cord first>>

GE WBXR1060TAWW, Top loading high capacity washer. I need the specs, capacity and number of speeds?

The (X) in the model number stands for extra large (2.7cu ft) capacity. The 1 stands for single speed. The 6 stands for 6 cycles. It should have a white plastic clothes basket. More expensive models had a stainless basket. Hope this helps you.

Intermittent water on floor

Check the inlet valve hoses, even if inlet is at the back, the water may drip down and flow on the front part on the machine. There you also have the PUMP, a faulty pump may leak intermittently.
Here you get all diagrams and parts for your appliance.

Intermittent water observed under machine

Difficult if not seen. Most common water on the floor senario is a drain pump leaking:or a perrished pipe from friction.or sometimes, water backs up from the house drainage system due to a restriction.

It sounds like it could be the lid switch, check to make sure the lid switch is clicking when you close the lid.

Ours did same thing after nearly same amount of time.

Run a couple of sanitary cycles without any cloths.

Only use HE detergent.
