Hello. I have a Base MK-933 electronic keyboard. I have recently moved it and upon plugging back in to electric power, the lights come on but there is no sound. Can you help me? It would be appreciated. Regards Marianne

SOURCE: After each note there is a buzz

There is a possibility that your speakers either one or both are becoming faulty. Try going out of the outputs into an amplifier and speakers that is known by you to have clean sound and see what happens. Also if there is a headphone out on your keyboards; is the buzz still there?

My yamaha psrE23 not responding when plugged to electricity what maybe the problem if I put batteries it's just giving me a feedback

Hi
In terms of no electrical power it could be either a faulty power adaptor, broken socket. However the feedback with batteries could indicate a more serious fault. If the batteries are know to be good try a reset. Hold down the highest sounding key while turning the keyboard on. Release once you have lights or a display on screen. Has the noise stopped? If so then try electrical connection again, if still no power ensure you are using the correct power adaptor and see if it works if you wobble the connector - they break away causing an intermittent fault. Report back and maybe I can offer more advice depending on how you progress with the above.

In the past, whenever I needed a specialized replacement cord (as an electrical engineer) I went to this company:
North American and International AC power cords and cord sets from... I have been able to find anything I ever looked for, and I see they have no minimum order. Another alternative is to find a local Goodwill or consignment store and browse through their older electronics (and hot plates and such). Old stuff sells so cheaply it's worth it just for the cord.

Hi, I've had a mk 928 keyboard for my son, and he's somehow banged the mains lead, where it goes into the back of the keyboard. The keyboard only comes on now if you hold the cable in the back. I've taken...

The connector for the power on the circuit board has broken the solder connections OR cracked the board in the area.

Resolder the connector and if you see cracks that are breaking circuit traces on the board, one bridges around them with wires to repair.

You likely only have to resolder the connector in your case.

The sustain has a mind of its own!

The pedals are basically switches. You should be able to test them yourself with a volt/ohm meter. They are fairly easy to replace with a little soldering skill.

Adapter/Plug in

Wow. You most likely broke a connection on the back of the plug receptacle. Take it to a Certified yamaha, or electronics tech. Perhaps the music store you bought it from. Make sure they do it in house, or find out what tech they recommend. might save you a few bucks of mark-up.
