I downloaded music but I can't see it on the player, what am i doing wrong?

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

I've placed music on the memory card, it reads perfectly in another samsung phone, but on this one, it refuses to even recognize the music even being on the memory card itself.

Your music is most likely in the wrong format. Your samsung gravity can only play music that is in .mp3 format. The other samsung phone can read the other music file types (for example WMA) that your gravity cannot. There's nothing wrong with the phone or memory card, its just the way the phone works.

Music player is not working say no music file found why?

alot of the time its because the music you have stored on your phone via a computer transfer rather than a legitimate device provider download the format is wrong or the files have been place in the wrong folder and the phone does not know how to access them

How do i download music to my phone from my pc?

it must be converted on some cellphones. usually mps will load no problem but others need to be compressed more with an audio converter.
You need a computer with a card reading device or card slots in the computer & a micro SD card, and patience. I don't really have experience with that phone, but to get the music onto the card, it has to be the right format for the phone to accept. Unless your phone has iTunes, for example, you cannot use .AAC files on the phone (which are the standard music files for iTunes). You can find conversion software at download.com or other places online. You'll probably need to convert them to .wav or .mp3, something like that, so read your phone's manual. Find your music files on your computer when finished, copy and paste them onto the card in the card reader, and then pop the card into your phone and the phone should register the card being in place somehow with a chance for you to access them. Take it to your local phone service provider if you're having trouble so that someone can see if something is wrong with it or explain to you how it works on transferring songs. Good luck!

My mp3 music shows up on my ipod on my pc but does not show up on the actual ipod. should i smash it into small pieces or is there a less entertaining fix?

Depends on the fix there... If the music is in a folder in which you can access while it is plugged into your computer... theres a chance it is in the wrong folder. If thats the case just copy them to a folder on your hard drive and format the ipod. place the music into itunes and transfer them back over. Now if you can read them while on iTunes but faded you haven't registered your computer as being authrized. If thats not the case then you will have to format it anyway and start over...

Loading music on psp

All music placed on the PSP's memory stick must be placed in the folder labeled "MUSIC". Within this folder, you may place .mp3 or .wma files, or create another folder within the MUSIC folder (to separate by artist or album, for example).

Note that the music must be in either the folder MUSIC or in a folder inside MUSIC. In other words, you can't have the music in a folder that's in a folder that's in MUSIC.
