When I presses on the simmer button, that's when my range completely shut down. What do you think is the problem? I have tried the breaker and still nothing. My husband has opened the back to take a look.

Stove top and oven doesn't work.

If it is an electric stove it may have tripped one side of the 230 line. Check the house cuircuit breaker panel and find the stove circuit breaker. It will be tied together by a bar or clip. Shut off both breakers completly and reset them back completely. If it is a power problem this should reset the stove.

I have no pwer on my electric range it is a kenmore

Make sure there's power reaching to your range, oven or cook-top. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power with a voltmeter or by plugging something else in. I would also advise to inspect the junction point on the backside of the unit for a possible separation of the power cord as well. If all checks out ok, then your control board will be the culprit. It will need ot be replaced in this case, due to possible circuit breakdown or power relay issues.

Kenmore 95024 Electric Range The self clean cycle Door stuck shu

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

Kenmore drop-in electric range plug melted

Hello- Yes it can be fixed- first, make sure outlet is not damaged. If it is, it will need to be replaced. Next, plug is wired into a terminal block on back of unit. With care, this cord is easy to replace. And safer than it was before. A loose plug, or wire caused the fireworks. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed. -Thanks- ED
