I have a denon ucd-250 cd player. LCD is flashing on an off and the unti isn't otherwise working. My guess is probably the PSU board has failed. Anyone know of any common component failures on this model

Checked all IC protectors ICP-N15 on the power board and found that the one on the +10V rail (IC654) had popped to 10k ohm resistance. Replace it and all is ok

Hi, The power light flashes on and off on my Denon DND 9000 cd players when switched on. Nothing else lights up or works.

The problem is the power circuit board part number GU-3413. It costs about $200 to replace and can be purchased from any of Denon's authorized parts distributors.

Monitor on a emachine 250 computer comes on picture is very light faded in the background but no light

This is a typical symptom of a failing LCD screen inverter board or LCD screen backlight lamp. The backlight lamp failure symptoms are very similar to the inverter board failure symptoms. If you have to guess which one is causing the problem, try replacing the inverter board first. LCD screen inverter boards fail more often than the LCD screen backlight lamps.

Hi, my cd drawer on my ucd 100 dosen't open and it

same problem with my dads UCD 100. the problem is the motor is going and the latch spring in now too tight to release. to resolve replce the motor, but temporary solution is to stretch the spring a bit and that should allow the release. you might need to pull it out a bit once it comes out to lock it off otherwise it might slide back in.

hope this helps.

My HP Compaq D530 won't come on. The lights will not blink or anything. I tried to unplug the power cord from the inside for a few minutes and plug it back in. I even reset the cmos/memory sticks. Still...

bad mos feats meaning you need a new psu, the chances of the board being bad are slim if the lights flashed when the power is plugged in, but insufficient power to the main board often the case where theirs not enough 5 volt rail power to run the main board. the molex connectors should be pulled and try turning on the psu without a load. then try to plug the power back in. something may have just gotten lose. if it works then the psu is ok and all's well. mosfeats are transistorized circuits and they can fail on a heavy load on the board. recommendation for a desktop tower not a gaming machine is about 250 to 300 watt power supply atx ;)

UCD 110 - Doesn't recognise every CD and will only play some CDs. I've tried cleaning the player with a CD Cleaning disc but to no effect.

I've had the same problem with a denon ucd 70,had the laser replaced and still the problem remained. Finally it appeared that a little wheel which moves the laser over the disk was broken and therefore the entire system finally couldn't read any cd anymore It started with some cd's however.
Still looking for a replacement wheel and fear that I have to buy a full new laser unit

Noise coming out of speakers connected to Denon AVR 1908

Check for nearby wireless devices and move them away. -If the audio output from the source device (i.e. DVD, CD player) is digital (i.e. PCM, DTS or Dolby Digital) you're on your own. I'd be willing to bet the output is analog (red and white RCA), because the "beeps" and "exploding sounds" you describe seem like it could be caused by interference. Try replacing the cables. Otherwise the issue is probably with your receiver.

I have a Denon 1650 CD player. Denon doesn't carry the parts to repair it. (Scratchy sound on all CD's). Are there aftermarket parts anywhere? Thanks Ray Durr

Based upon your description, the problem is most likely either the D/A converter IC or a bad audio output transistor/opamp. Without seeing the unit, remote diagnosis is just a guess. The IC should be available generically. Can you post a photo of the board? If I can see what is in there, I can point you to the suspect parts. I don't have a service manual for this one.
