Hi my pc boots and fans are spinning like normal

You need to check the monitor also. The LED monitors do not last as long as the old CRT's. Also try a different cable. The LED monitors I have had usually stop working without warning. They will turn on but cannot display a picture.

My pc is on but my monitor saids no signal detected but there is power on the monitor

Try it on another PC, check the pins at both ends of the VGA cable or try new cable. Try another monitor with this PC. We need to isolate the problem first.

HP 1940 turns off after a second or two desktop appears with a message no signal detecked

no signal detected is displayed when there is no sync pulse detected by monitor. look in the monitor cable connector and see if you have a pin bent down. same at video connector at pc. if no bent or missing pin it probably bad in monitor itself. do u have another monitor you can hook up to pc? that could tell you which end is defective.(pc or monitor)

No signal detected

Check all of your cables - VGA / DVI mainly in the back of the monitor and the back of the PC.
