What are 80 gb hard drives?

Sounds like your just starting out. A "gb" is the size of the hard drive. The higher the number the more information it will store. If you store a lot of music and videos you'd need a larger hard drive. Technically a "gb" (gigabyte) is about 1000 Megabytes. A terabyte (T) is about 1000 Gigabytes.

I moved my desktop hard drive WD 8000BB to an external usb enclosure. I have everything connected according to the manual but can't see it in my computer as an external storage device. Any idea of what...

Does it power up when you plug it? If not, it could be a problem with the power from the USB port. If it does, see if it shows up in the Disk Management.

Does not recognize

Did you try the disk on a different computer to make sure the disk is functioning?
And if using a laptop, make sure that power is not an issue, an external power supply or 2 USB ports are always required.

I can't open or view my data in Western Digital hard drive

You have to be more specific in order to receive help.
You said: "Last week my hard drive was fallen down on the floor.
Was it in a desktop or laptop & how did it fall on the floor? Did it jump out of the computer or did you drop the computer? What do you consider to be a hard drive?

My wd 12o gb ext hard drive not recoginized by my computer

This problem often happens because of the cable, try to move the cable near the connector of your drive. by this time access the devive manager, and check if there is changes in the list while you change cable's position, if so, your cable is defect.

Removing portable hard drive!

In the bottom right hand corner of the screen, there will be an icon with a green arrow (pointing to the left), and when you mouse over it, it will say "safely remove hardware" left click on it and you should get some options that say things like "safely remove USB mass storage device - drive (f:, c:)" find the one that is your device, and click on it... now the device is safe to unplug from the usb!

WD Passport Portable Hard drive 250GB

It could be that your computers do not put out enough power in the USB ports. (Apple laptops are notorious for this). You can call up Western Digital and tell them that it is not working and they will send you a free dual USB cable. This cable has one plug for usb power and one for data so the drive should work with it (although it will use up 2 of your USB ports!!).
