Question about Acer Extensa 5620 Notebook PC
My almost-2-year-old Acer Extensa 5620 notebook will not turn on. I have no idea why this is, because it was working 100% fine before. I put it to sleep (alt+f4) for a short time and when I went to boot it back up it was unresponsive. At first when it was plugged in, the battery indication light was orange. I tried taking out the battery and plugging it in, but it still won't work. The battery light is now green, and there are no other lights on. It's not making any beeps or anything. I've never had this happen before, nor have I encountered any boot-up problems.
Is there a problem with the motherboard? What could have happened to it? Also, is there a way I can get at the contents of my hard drive if I have to get a new computer?
Have you tried using a different adapter? It might be that the power adapter is defective. If it isnt then you may need to replace your motherboard. And with regards to your hard drive, there are third party technicians who caters to retrieving data from drives. They may try to use that drive to a different computer to retrieve your files.
