Make sure the connections are clean on face plate and base make sure no grease or anything like that failing this then contact the makers or even place of purchase usually as long as you have the face plate and the whole unit they will replace the face for free but you might need to show them both as stolen ones people were getting the face for free so they stopped this so get in touch with makers or even place of purchase they should replace for you.

How old is device?

Have you tried pushing the face in whilst pressing it on further just in case the connections are not touching.

Do any buttons work?

I have a aiwa CDC x227 car stereo. Have it hooked up, had sound until I accidentally hit the face plate button. Since then I have no sound. Any suggestions on how to get the sound back?

hi, you may have caused an upset to the data flow from face to main pc board. try disconnecting the unit from the vehicle for a day, then reconnect it the next day. or find the reset procedure for your unit, it will either be a small micoswitch behind the face, or a sequence of holding down some switches to activate the reset function. if the problem persists then the unit mite have a cracked main pc board, a faulty face unit, or the mute function is continuously running. to solve these faults you will have to consult with a technician.

Broken detachable face

The only way to fix that is to call the company and purchase a new face plate. If you bought it from a store, and it's still under warranty, they MIGHT be kind enough to replace it. I've been fortunate enough that I've been able to establish a rapport with the companies that I've dealt with that they would do this for me. A lot of companies won't though. Best bet, contact the manufacture so you can buy a new faceplate.

Stereo is stuck on mute unable to get back to sound

Try taking fuse out and wait a few minutes or if its a detachable face remove the faceplate and see if there is a reset button.

Need a alpine dvd IVA-D900R detachable face

If you cant buy one from Alpine (usually costs half the cost of head) then you might be out of luck. For the price of faceplate, youre half into a whole new unit just about!

Cd stuck

Try pressing the source button and the eject button at the same time. This is called a "forced eject" which works only on some JVC radios.

If that does not work try pressing the reset button, I would tell you where to find it but you did not say what model number the radio is.
Many JVC radios have the reset button behind the detachable face. Remove the face and look to see if there is a small hole with a swicth behind it and use something small to press the switch.

If none of this helps you will most likely need to take it in for service at a service center.

Let me know if you need more help, and please give more details about the radio and the problem.

If you found the was helpful I would appreciate a good rating, thanks.
