Power Light On Woods Chest Freezer

Just bought a used woods chest freezer. It seems to work well but the power light does not come on. It is located near the key hole. Is there any relationship between the absence of the key a power light? Where do I find a replacement key?

Green light on chest freezer flickering?

this just means the light is burning out (loosing its filament) it does not effect the operation of the freezer, it just is an indicator that you have power at the unit.

The light on my chest freezer will flicker on and off when I open the door. It will only remain on when the door is in a certain position. How do I fix this? Secondly, the red "on" light on...

Both light flickering probably indicates a problem with the plug or the cord. If it was just the inside light I would suspect the door switch, but both light would indicates an open short in the wires or plug.

Check the plug connection at the wall and see if it is loose. While unplugged check the cord for any nicks or cuts. Plug something else into the same wall receptacle , like a light and see if the power to the receptacle is ok.

If none of the above work then it is time for a qualified repair person.
