59.88 MINUTES.

Example assume tub is 10 gallons.

10 minutes to fill is 1 gal/minute
10 gallons drain in 12 minutes =10/12=.833 Gal/Minute.

1 Gal/Min - .833 gal/min= .167 gal/min gain in water/min.

10 Gal/.167=59.88 minutes.

Want to save up to 25% on water heating?

Want to save up to 25 % on water heating? Follow these simple recommendations:

SAVINGS ON HOT WATER HEATING:

1) If you have a tank water heater (electric, gas, or oil-powered), the easiest way to lower your bill is to lower the water temperature. Most usually, a setting of 100-110 F should provide water that is hot enough for pretty much anything. In some water heaters, this corresponds to somewhat below the "MIDDLE" setting.

2) Touch the outside of your water heater tank. If it feels warm, purchase a "water heater blanket" for around \$10-\$20. It goes around the water heater to help keep the heat inside. Be sure you DO NOT cover the very top vent of the heater (if you have a gas-powered one).

3) If your water tank is more than 15-20 years old and it needs to be replaced, buy one that has at least a 12 year guarantee. In a recent article, Consumer Reports cut open several different brands of water heaters. The ones with a guarantee of 12 or more years had almost TWICE the amount of insulation that the ones that only had a 5 or 9 year guarantee. Also, be sure to get one that has a high efficiency, even if they cost a bit more. You'll save money in the long run.

4) Install a "low flow" showerhead (2.5 gallons per minute or less). You can buy them for as low as \$10-20. With a 2.5 gpm showerhead, a 15 min. long shower will only use 37.5 gallons of hot water. Some "ultra low flow" showerheads deliver 1.6 gpm, saving even more.

5) Do not take baths in your bathtub too often. Although bathtubs vary in size, they are usually around 50 gallons, so filling up your bathtub will use 33% more hot water

6) At least once a year, drain the water from your water heater to get rid of any hard water deposits or any solids that may develop inside the tank. To do this, turn off the circuit breaker of the water heater (if you have an electric one) or turn the gas off (if you have a gas one). Wait at least 30 min. to let it cool down a bit. Close the cold water intake to the tank (there should be 2 pipes on top of the tank; the coldest one is the cold water intake). Locate the drain valve, usually on the BOTTOM of the tank. Place a bucket under it and open the valve (BE CAREFUL; VERY HOT WATER WILL COME OUT). Drain all the water. Close the drain valve. Open the cold water valve and allow the tank to fill up all the way (this may take a while). After the tank is full, open the gas valve (if you have a gas water heater) and light up the pilot or turn the circuit breaker on (if you have an electric one).

How long does it take to fill an American Standard 3260-210

It holds 80 gallons. How big is your inlet pipe? How much water pressure? How many gallons per minute? Then you will have your answer.

Why is it taking so much long to tank to fill?

Disassemble the valve assembly. It probably has mineral deposits in it. If this doesn't do it, replace the whole assembly. Costs 8-10 dollars

I have a walk-in jacuzzi-type bathroom tub. When the automatic blower comes on it sends out a mildew smell. How can I get rid of it?

First of all, after each use, refill the tub with warm water and run the jets for about 10 minutes to clear out any excess debris etc.

To eliminate the smell/mildew/mold. :
-Fill the tub to above the jet level with HOT (over 140deg.) water
-Add two tablespoons of low sudsing dishwasher detergent and five cups of distilled white vinegar
-Run the jets for 20 minutes
-Drain the tub and use a tooth brush or any small brush to gently clean inside and around all of the jets and nozzles, remove all foreign material you can from the areas inside (disassemble the outter rings to do so) and around the outlets. Be as thorough as possible.
-Rinse and refill the tub with CLEAN COLD water and run the jets for another 20 minutes.
-Drain the water and the smell and mildew should be eliminated.

To prevent future mildew build up/odors once a month fill the tub with HOT water (again) and four to five cups of vinegar (no detergent) and run the jets for 20 minutes. Drain and fill with clean cold water running jets another 20 minutes. If the tub is used very often you can increase the scheduled flushing of the system to every two to three weeks. The mildew/mold flourishes in the warm wet areas inside the jet tubing and nozzles. Diligent maitenance is the best way to make sure you're not bathing with any unwanted guests in your bathwater!

-Take care

Yes it is normal just no hot air

1. When setting the temperature to MAX, blower level to FULL and outside air Vent CLOSED, no hot air comes out after 2-5 minutes?
If YES, when did you last flushed your radiator and is it full?
2. if more than 5 years ago, flush radiator system, instructions are usually in Owners manual. Use a bottle of Radiator cleaner, run egine hot for about 10-15 minutes, carefully open petcock in bottom of radiator to flush out radiator, WARNING, careful as flushed coolant would be boiling hot. As sson petcock is open and water start to flow out, carefully open radiator cap to enhance flushing flow. Use garden hose to fill radiator while flushing until water coming out from petcock is cold and clear.
Once clear, start engine, turn heter full and blower full blast and keep hose in radiator flowing full, leave petcock open until clear water flows out again. Once clear waters comes out, turn off engine, turn off garden hose and let water drain empty radiator. Once it stops flowing out, close petcock snug and put radiator cap on, pull off radiator coolant catch bottle, clean bottle for any debris and dirt. Drain any water, leave bottle empty and put it back onto its place.
3. Fill radiator with 1 gallon (4L) of concentrated coolant, top up radiator until full, fill catch bottle with concentrated coolant, start engine and keep it overflowing until no bubbles comes out and the radiator is fully hot. Once it is flowing good, close and connect everything. Drive with it and keep catch bottle filled as necessarry.
Good luck. Give as vote and good comment if this advise solve youor problem. Thank you.

My sku 509560 has begun to stop and then restart after 15 minutes or so? It them runs for 10 minutes and stops again. Is it fixable?

Yes, it can be fixed.Assuming that your water system is pressurized, take the following steps;
1. Shut the power off the lines going to the pump
motor.
2. Drain all the water inside the pressure tank by
opening the drain plug. After emptying the tank,
replace the drain plug.
3. Unscrew the priming port plug and fill it full with
water. And at the same time fully close the
flow control valve.
4. Put the power back on, and slowly open the
flow control valve until the water flow stabilize at
20 or 30 psi at the pressure gage. This could be
at 1/4 open or 1/3 open, depending on the water
supply at the suction point.
5. Check and set the pressure switch to be off
at 40 psi.
