My screen keep flickering every 2 seconds. However laptop still can function as per normal. My laptop is LG brand, R405.How can I solve it? Or should i just spend my money to get a new one?

Your #1 suspect: LCD inverter, a circuit which supplies white light to the screen.

Step 1 (this is a workaround only)
Attach a regular CRT to the monitor port on the back of your system. You'll be able to use
the computer as before using the CRT as your display rather than the system LCD display.
Reasons to do this sooner rather than later:
(a) flickering with a frequency of 2 seconds is likely to cause headache.
(b) your LCD inverter is about to die.

Step 2.
Use your computer software (you didn't mention what OS you're running), hunt up any/all
vendor-supplied video diagnostics for your system, meaning any diags that run at any of three
levels: (1) BIOS (just above hardware level), (2) MSDOS, (3) MSwindows. The diag most likely
to help will be a BIOS video diag - though its possible that all video diagnostics may pass
without detecting an impending LCD inverter failure.

Step 3: Download the manual for your motherboard & computer system (they're probably from
different companies, with different web sites - you didn't mention the make/model/BIOS version of your motherboard, on your LG R405 computer). I went to
but couldn't find any laptops manufactured by LG - they're heavy into cellular telephony, though.

I have a problem booting my PC it's not doing anything but the fans are spinning and the on board light is flashing... tried the following and nor was useful: 1-changed the power supply 2-changed RAM and...

to me only one thing seems to be an issue ... and that is the ram slot ...what u can do it is remove the board from the cabinet and remove all periperals connected like ram cpu cards just the motherboard is left.... try to clean the ram slot with the cleaning liquids ...when u are doing the cleaning clean the comeplete board like the cpu slot , card slots use good amt of liquid and use a tooth brush to clean the board and than use a blower if u have one but the blow shouldnt be very high and than leave the board to dry upside down for least 30mins and than put the board back in and than see if u face the same issue ... but i have a guess if that doesnt work than its surely an issue with the ram slot ... doing this will atleast clean the slots if any kind of dust is avoiding the contacts

Computer gives long beep no bios screen

Although motherboard beep sounds depend on the type of CMOS/BIOS (like AMI, PHOENIX, IBM, AWARD BIOS etc) - still long beep is because of RAM failure. Please first remove the RAM - clean the RAM and slot well - re-install it - you may try in the different slot also. If it does not work you must use another RAM (the frequency should match).

My wpn111 wireless adaptor keep dropping my router signal

There is very little you can do about this. You may not like that answer, and I am sorry for the trouble, but there are things you can try.

First, lets understand that wireless is a radio signal, much like a cordless phone. The handset has to be able to communicate with the base on a phone, and, the wifi pc's have to be able to communicate with the router. Some phones and routers (sadly) use the same frequency range, 2.4 ghz. If you have a cordless phone that operates on 2.4 ghz, or if your neighbors have one, then whenever they get a phone call, wifi goes bye bye. What can you do?

1. Upgrade your phone to a wifi friendly one, with a 2.4 ghz offset range (so that the bands are close, but not so close to cause interference) or get another frequency phone.

2. Change the frequency of the router to level 1. Usually they are AUTO or level 6. Level 1 is a low frequency, and lower frequencies usually give slower, but more reliable performance. You can choose between 1 and 11. try all frequencies to see which one gives less trouble.

3. place the router in a more centered location in the home, off the floor. Remember, this is radio. Radio antennas go into the air to receive signal, and your router is no different. A router stuck in the corner of the basement may give poor performance, while a router in the center of the home should service the home easily.

4. upgrade your wifi. Choose the wireless N router and adapters for your machines. they have better capabilities and less interference.

I hope this gives you insight into the issue. Wireless is at the mercy of its environment. Building structures, signal interference, power lines, atmospheric issues, and cordless phones can play a factor in your reception. its just like taking a portable tv thru the house and having to move the antenna around to try to get better signal. Good Luck.

You should check the BUS frequency as well, for the RAM. If the ram and mobo frequencies aren't set in a pair, but board won't work properly. Is there an option to set to factory defaults? I'd use that.

System hangs for one reason: processor is not working well and that can be caused by: 1. processor cooler is not working well or is full of dust. 2. processor is dying.
Screen shakes with different colours because of magnetic interference. This could be from any other electronic devices near your Display such as speakers. Try to use the "Degaus" option in your screen wich is under Monitor menu somewhere or remove other electronic devices that might interfere.
