Hi,

Well it may be the picture tube issue however the first thing you should try is to do a powercycle, which is to disconnect the power, unplugg all the connecions. turn it on for 20 seconds(power cord unplugged), than turn it off.
Plugg everything back on and check.

Also make sure that there are no magnetic feilds created nearby. The equipment with the magnet should not be place near the TV.

Also i am providing you a link which may be of some help to you.

Hope this resolves your issue or you may have to use the warranty if available.

All the Best

It would be worth checking if you have any warranty on the device as Ginko is right in saying convergence ics but you might have got two year warranty check this if not then you need to get ics replaced this is common fault so repair shops should do this no problem.

You need to replace the convergence ICs or to do a convergence setup.

Sorry, the solution posted is for DS25390(posted in title),
which is a rear projection tv. Your Sanyo DP50747 is a plasma TV, in this case you will need to have the Ysus and Zsus boards checked, likely one of them need to be replaced.
Before going to a service try screen adjustment procedures, as described in your manual, but if the line is in the middle of the screen it should not just be an height adjustement problem.
I am afraid you will need to contact a service in your area.

    Regards

Disregard my first solution, was addressed to model in title.
Here is manual check page 50 and activate , then deactivate white patter, just in case you have a still black line from some ghosting problem (I will not explain here what ghosting is, just do it).
From your description I do not think the above will solve the problem.
Probably you will have to get an expert repairman testing and replacing the whole Ysus board. Sometimes it is just a defective capacitor on Sus board, but we usallly replace the whole board the same, as locating the capacitor will cost same amount in termas of labour. Here you can find replacement for your tv.
Contact Sanyo, or provide us with your location to find an authorized serviceman in your area.

About warranty, unless you purchased an extra warranty, Sanyo gives only one year warranty, as usual your TV started giving problems as soon as guaranty expired.

TV screen has a thin horizontal line in center

this will only help until the next time it is out of alignment but if you slap the side of your tv about where the line is it should straighten out but there is no telling how long it will stay straight......My sons tv was doing that and i had a tv when i was young that did it that is what my mom told me to do and what i told my son to do and it works.... the problem is an alignment or conection problem from dust most likely.

It is my guess that you have some intermitent solder connections in the Vertical output circuit.
Hope this helps,

SanyoTV-blk screen w/thin line of light across screen great sound

Your Vertical Amp is probably Blown (bad) , but before you change that check all capacitors around the vertical amp IC and / or resolder resistors and diodes around vertical amplifier.
And NO it is NOT the Picture Tube
Good Luck

HORIZONAL LINES

that is because you have a defective vertical deflection circuit, check all the caps and if that does not solve the problem replace the vertical output ic

31'sanyo tv analog has a white horizonal line thru it

There is a failure in the vertical amp section. This can be the main output IC, or any of the support components in this area.

An experienced tech can troubleshoot the set, and determine and service the fault.

Thin horizonal line in middle on dark screen

The several thin white lines at the top of the screen is the warning that the vertical output IC is not getting the boost voltage it needs to run correctly. The IC cannot operate for long like that and shorts out inside, which is when the vertical collapses altogether and you get the thin white line through the center of the screen. The good news for your son is that he had nothing to do with that, and it has nothing to do with the cable F connector. The set needs to be serviced by an experienced tech who will restore the boost supply and replace the vertical output IC, and when I do that I charge $75 but techs in your area will vary, so be sure to ask around.
