Device Manager in Control Panel will provide this information

Go to Start, then Control Panel, click System icon, then Device Manager tab and you will find the information in the drill down menu.

How can i download my sound card driver

You need to know what kind of sound card you have first. You need to open control panel then click on system then click on device manager then click on sound, video and game controllers. The name of your sound card should be in there. Once you know the name of your sound card then go to the manufactures website and down load the drivers you need.

I hope this helps you out if it does then please give me a YES that I did attempt to help you. Thank you.

How to know the name of the sound card driver?

In windows XP go to Device Manager > double-click the card ("unknown hardware if it is not already installed) and go to Details tab the first line under the text "Value" (eg. PCI\Ven_xxxx&Dev_xxxx) , write down this text and google, it should come up with the chip vendor name. If you don't find anything please write it down here and i'll look into it.

Dont know the sound card name and there is no sound what can i do

Do u have built in soundcard or a bought one? If that is built in, just go to the site of maker of the mainboard, search with the model name of the mainboard, you should get the driver. If that is a bought one, Remove the cover of the CPU, look at the soundcard..look for the name of device part number. google with it..you should find the solution.

Hi, You need a windows XP sound driver for your sound card. If you know your sound card's name go to www.toshiba.com and look for your country support then Service and Support choose the laptop you have and download the driver for your sound card or if you couldn't find it email the and get the drivers from them. or go to: www.google.com and search for "download driver your sound card's name" and install it. Or if you don't know the name of your sound card follow the steps below: Control Panel >> System >> Hardware >> Device Manager Look for yellow signed "Other Device" >> see if mentions your sound card's name. if not then you need to see your laptop's manual. Please come back and leave a good feedback for me to keep me on this site. Kind Regards
