Question about KitchenAid KSCS25FKSS Side by Side Refrigerator
First of all assure that u are getting water inside of the tray of the ice maker if you have no water then u will want to ceck in the back of the unit down the bottom a blue or white plastic piece this is called the water valve assure that u are getting water through the tube into the icemaker sometimes on some units there willbe a freeze up in the line if this is the case then you would have to defrost the line itself if your unit is getting water and u can feel ice on the inside remove the entire icemaker unit and run hot water to remove all frozen ice then reinstall your doing this becasue sometimes the gear cannot turn becuase it comes out of postion and sometimes this does make the gear go back to normal after u install you would have to wait till your icemaker once again reaches 30 degrees and then it would start making ice again if it doesnt not make ice at this point then u would have to buy a new ice maker cheapest way ton get a new icemaker is through marcone appliance parts and they will ship it to your door hope this helps

SOURCE: Ice maker not making ice
Chances are it will be best to replace the ice maker but give me your complete model # from the sticker inside the fridge. Also, make sure the fill tube to the ice maker isn't frozen up. There should be a 3 digit # in front of the 52554100.

SOURCE: ICE CUBE MAKER SMELLY ICE CUBES
Unfortunately, this is one of the inherent problems with a self defrosting freezer units. Some frost free models/brands are less smelly than others. Grabbing the cubes as soon as they drop so they don't sit in that nasty freezer air and placing them in a zip lock would help a lot but probably not completely. Be sure and clean the inside of the freezer often so there is less of the smell left in the plastic that surrounds the ice cubes as well as the foods. Don't eat freezer burned vanilla ice cream, for sure! Hope this helps.

Water dispensing solenoid is bad. You need to replace the solenoid valve. This typically is independent of the ice maker.

Pull out the whole ice machine part. At the back of the fridge you will see a small rectangle hole with a white plastic part inside the whole. Loosen the pastic part by applying a little pressure with your fingers it should move, it's probably just sticking.

I have a GE TFX25ppbaaa refrigerator. The ice maker corkscrew motor would run and provide crushed ice only. The corkscrew motor would not run when the switch was moved to the cubed ice ( half moon) setting.
I replaced the large Light/ water/ crushed ice/cubed ice switch , ( product service number GEH WR55X129 ) ( part number GE 162D6372 PO17 )and it fixed the problem. Cost was about $43.00.
