I need a wiring diagram for a Mitsubishi Stereo DX-262AL. I want to replace it with a Clarion CD stereo, which I need to "marry" to the existing DX-262AL car loom. Any help much appreciated.

Hi there,

Option 1: If you haven't purchased any components yet.

If your Mitsubishi still has the original OEM (factory) wiring loom, then the newest method of connecting an aftermarket head unit (i.e. Clarion) is by using a 'snap-on' adaptor harness which eliminates the need for any cutting/joining/soldering.

The adaptor you want is the Mitsubishi-to-Clarion type: one end of the adaptor has the Mitsubishi (female) plug and the other has the Clarion (female) plug.

These adaptor looms can be purchased from most automotive accessory shops, or you can purchase very cheaply online from Ebay.

Check this link (this is the Clarion MAW2-16 adaptor for 1995-2004 Mitsubishi vehicles) @ USD $1 + $11 shipping (Note: the Year of your vehicle will determine which harness you require):

Option 2: the hard way

If you REALLY want to do it the hard way and start cutting wires, then here is the wiring colour codes:

EARLY MITSUBISHI AUDIO CONNECTORS:

LATER MITSUBISHI AUDIO CONNECTOR (SINGLE TYPE):

I trust this answers your question? :-)

I have a 'Eurovox' car radio/cassette with 'Land Rover' on the front, but the two plugs do not match up with my Range Rover. So I would like to know how to, (after removing the plugs), wire it in. These...

If you leave the original plugs connected to the radio unit you will be able to get an adapter from a motor store. In the UK Halfords keep most types, in the US I don't know what similar stores you have but i would imagine Radio Shack or similar will keep the type you need. Take the radio unit with you so they can see the connectors on the unit - they will probablky be ISO fittings and then they will be able to advise the Range Rover fitting.

If they do not have a suitable adaptor, ask them to identifiy the connectors on the radio unit (DIN, ISO etc) and then ask your local Landrover/Range Rover dealer if they can supply an adaptor for you.

Hope this clears your problem, please mark the post as Fixya.

Installed Meos mc701b with navme 120gps nav system. All fine except that the sound on nav instructions is very low and see no means of resetting it. Any solutions? Seems a common problem

This is simple - go to the NAVI screen itself via the menu - turn the volume up using the volume up key.
Return to the radio and now hold down the menu key - you will go back to the sat nav screen with the radio playing in the background - when you now get voice prompts they will be louder than before!

Hi i am trying to connect my eonon 10.2" rear viev mirror to my in car stereo naw both ot theese have female connection points and i have a cable but not sure wether it is the right 1 and do not know which...

hi, you would have to use a cable that is male on both ends. Plug one end into the av out of your nav and the other end in the av in on the mirror. I would appreciate if you could tell me how you feel about the eonon rear view mirror. I am thinking about getting it but i would like to know when the monitor is off if the mirror is reflective enough to see the back like the stock mirror. I've heard that many mirror monitors have a deep tint that makes it diffcult to use as a regular mirror. Also i know that you can change the screen size from 4.5" to 8.5" my question is if you have the mirror set on 4.5" and you put the car in reverse and then into drive, does the monitor go back to 4.5" the next time you go in reverse or does it go to 8.5"? Please let me know. I want to make sure before i spend money on this unit. Thanks in advance.

Radio code

Check under the fuse box and on the side of the glovebox. Some dealerships will put stickers there with codes for radio and nav.
