SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I have an AA file that I downloaded from audible.com, it's a book. When I try to sync it to the Sony Walkman from Windows Media Play, I get an error. The error says "Windows Media Player cannot sync...

The "AA" file type is not supported in the NWZ MP3 players. However, you are still able to place audiobooks onto your player if you convert the file to one of the supported file audio formats: MP3. WMA, AAC-LC, and PCM. Remember that there are several iterations of MP3, such as variable bit rate and frequency range and the player does not play some of them.

What I do is that I pull the file into Audacity and convert it there. Another option is that if you can burn the audiobook onto a CD, you can then rip to WMP and then sync it to your player. That is how I get my language audiobooks onto my player. The last option, which I have never tried, is to get it into ITunes, then sync it to your player that way. ITunes will automatically convert the file before syncing it onto the player.

Hope that helps.

Just bought an 8G MP3 player today because I thought I could listen to audiobooks on it. after i got it home, it looks like it can only be used to read books on the screen. Is this correct? If so, I'll...

If it plays mp3's then you can listen to audiobooks, as long as they're in mp3. I don't have any experience listening to books, but I imagine that most would come as mp3's, if not the you should be able to convert them into mp3 format, as long as there's no evil DRM.

I just did a little research on audio books and apparently there's sites out there that sell drm free audiobooks, As I have never actually had any drm protected audio, I have no personal experience of trying to use it on mp3 players, but it wouldn't be the wisest business move to stop people putting the stuff they've bought onto their mp3 players.

Here's a link to a drm free audiobook site:

There's also plenty of drm removal software out there if you need it.

I have downloaded an audiobook and transferred it onto my mp3 player, but the message "File format not supported" pops up and will not play the book

I had the same issue with my Audible.com downloads, since their audiobooks use the copyright-protected format *.AA. I had to go buy an mp3 player that supported that file extension.

Can't get the playerto play the chapters in order

You have to delete the affected Audiobooks off the player, then go into Windows Media Player, right-click one chapter at a time, select "Advanced Tag Editor" and manually assign a track number to each chapter -in order.
Then you can reload the audiobook onto the GoGear.

Some audiobook services have fixed-term licenses of 1-year - at the end of the time period, you have to resynchronize the audiobook files to the audiobook service itself.

Here is an interesting clip from the Sandisk forums on this exact issue:
"
Overdrive library books have DRM-encryption to make them stop working at the end of the loan-out period unless you renew them. This means your player must be set to MTP mode.

If your player intentionally or un-intentionally got switched to MSC mode, that would prevent the DRM content from being loaded onto your player and account for the error message.

Check it in SETTINGS > USB MODE on your player."

Sansa Clip Audiobook Question

Once I downloaded the newest firmware the audiobooks folder started showing up in the windows file explorer. So now I don't have to worry about using media player or anything else. I just plug in my sansa clip, open windows file explorer and drag the folders (1 for each disk) onto my player (into the audiobooks folder).

Here's the link for the download. If it doesn't come up you might want to reformat your sansa clip.
