My acer aspire m1641 lost operation system,

First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

Hi.

With that desktop computer being new it should have a hidden recovery partition on the hard drive that allows you to perform a factory restore which will take it to how it was when you took it out the box.

To access the recovery partition on your Acer computer for recovery, follow the steps listed below.

1. Power on the computer
2. At the white ACER BIOS screen, hold the Alt key and press the F10 key simultaneously to start Acer eRecovery.
3. Once eRecovery has loaded, click Restore to Factory Default Settings
4. Click OK to continue
5. From here, the eRecovery process will update all the data on the C: drive and restore a fully functional factory image which should take approximately 10 minutes.
6. Once eRecovery has run, press OK to reboot the computer.

Hope this helps!!!

Regards.

Hi i was trying to overclock my cpu (im kicking my self now) every thing went ok untill i rebooted now when i turn on my pc i just get a black screen and the cpu fan starts but then after 5sec it stops p.s...

if you can not get into bios to set it to the factory defaults . you have to either short the bios jumpers into the clr.bios position ...if you know where to find it ...or ...you have to open it ..and remove the bios battery for about 10 seconds...This will get it to the default factory settings..(optimal defaults) ..and the problems will be solved...
it is not a complicated thing to do ...on a desktop ..but on a laptop you will have to be patient and careful cause on each model this battery is located in another place ...so take a good look on the manual ...and after that see if you can get to it without open it ....all ...on some models it has access to either the clear bios jumper...or to the battery itself..but on most ..you have to open it ...

I want to restore my acer aspire 3680 to its factory settings but i don't no how.

Do you have a restore disc?

If not you can use the emanagement software on your PC to create one.

Once you have your restore disc, reboot your pc. Once the ACER logo disappears push the <Delete> key to enter BIOS (Setup) browse through the menu's until you find the option for "Boot Order" and change them so that your cd/dvd drive is the first one in the list. Push <F10> to save and reboot

put your restore disc in the drive. And reboot as necessary.
From here on out it should be simply following the prompts.
