If your Celebrity is fuel injected or carbureted it will still have an electric fuel pump in the fuel tank. If fuel injected, open the breather and make the breather element wet with gasoline. If carbureted, pour a little gasoline into the venture of the carb then crank the engine. it will start. If it dies once the gas is used up, your fuel pump is not working. Could be a bad pump or a bad connection. check with a test light at the pump connection.
The original gas tank on a 1998 F-250 Lariat has a capacity of 30 gallons. Because there is no mention of dual fuel tank capacity available, the 2nd fuel tank was likely added after purchase. You would need to know the capacity of the fuel tank when it was installed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lexia-3
without starting the engine position the key to the on position. you can hear the fuel pump operationing for 4 to 6 seconds upon having the key on. if not heard running check the fuel pump fuse, the fuel pump relay, and the engines oil pressure switch. they all work the pump you see the engine oil pressure switch runs the pump untill the engine reaches normal pressure once the pressure is reached to the normal range the computer shuts that circuit off and turns the fuel pump relay on

Fig. 2 Fuel pump mounting on station wagon models
Some early models and all turbocharged or fuel injected cars are
equipped with an electric fuel pump. On the early models the fuel pump
is mounted in the trunk on sedans and hardtops and in the left rear
wheel housing on station wagons. On the turbocharged Colt and fuel
injected Vista, the fuel pump is in the gas tank. On the Conquest, it is
on the frame rail, behind the left rear wheel, and on later models is
located on the fuel tank.
Fig. 4 Electric fuel pump used on Conquest models
On late Conquest models, the fuel pump is tank mounted. It is
necessary to remove the fuel tank for fuel pump service. Refer to the
Colt/Vista procedure. Hope helped.
The fuel pump is inside the gas tank. There is no fuel shut off switch unless it runs through the oil pressure switch circut, meaning if the oil pressure gets low enough,it shuts off the fuel pump to keep from damaging the engine.Good luck, ChevRev
