Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
Hello , ok couple things that u need to check first theres a small gear like object called the drive couple located between the motor and the transmission there is a rubber bushing around this plastic piece make sure that the bushing is intact and that the plastic piece is not broken u can also observe this piece by removing the motor from the machine the pump is located before the motor also check the pump by also removing it as well and making sure nothing is caught inside the pump intake or drain line .if you have no probelm with these two parts then the next one that you would want to check would be your clutch and you check this first by looking under your machine at the round like disc that is ontop of the transmission (note if your clutch is covered in oil this could be why you have no spin function and if it is you would have to replace the transmission)here is another easy test turn your machine on set to spin take your hand on the inside of the drum and spin the drum if the drum takes off spinning and then u can stop it with your hand easily then u need a new clutch if you are not familiar with replacing transmission pieces on a washer machine i do hope that you would call a technician if you want to order the part yourself you could find the part at marcone appliae parts and ask them form the clutch kit make sure u say kit because if you dont you wont get the extra pieces to replace when doing the job the part runs in between 25-35.00 hope this helps

Thanks for using FixYa. As the water won’t drain out so it seems to be an issue with the drain hose, you’ll need to remove the lower front panel and then remove the hoses from the pump to check for any clogs/foreign objects. You can also check the pump assembly which is located in the front right corner. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Tips for a great answer:
Nov 05, 2012 | Washing Machines
If the washer is not draining then it is due to a clogged
drain pump, drain filter or a kinked drain hose. Clean the drain hose, inspect
if the drain hose is plugged. Also check the connection to the drain pump and
make sure wiring is fine. Check the electrical connections with a multimeter.
If it still doesn't work then you would need to replace the drain pump. Hope
this helps...please post back for further assistance.
