First of all, do you have a sensor? If you don't you should get one because you can ONLY make movements with a sensor. If you do put the sensor in a place that you'll be pointing your Wii remote at. Example: Try putting the sensor on top of a short television. Always try to point at the television because the sensor can detect the Wii remote. Hope that helps!

Hello.
You need to make sure the Wii knows where the sensor bar is. (Above or below TV) Another cause is low batteries. Also waving the Wiimote out of range. Make sure the sensor bar is on the very edge of your TV stand, or enterrtainment center. I have noticed on mine that if I'm going crazy with the wiimote and go to low, it will not register. Those are the most common problems and solutions. But you may even have a bad wiimote. There is also a calibration setting for the wiimote. So try all that. I hope this helps!
Good luck and happy gaming!!

Some games does not use Sensor Bar pointing because they play with motion/accelerometer only. After you select the number of sets on Wii Sports Tennis, there is no Sensor Bar pointing except for Pause menu. That's because you Swing the remote like a racket.

you need to smack the wii controller on your hand like you were hitting a fly. trust me, this happened to me before, when my wii just came out of the box.
