Not if the TV set has Audio/Video inputs on the back and a working remote that will let you switch inputs.

Magnavox converter box. How can I tell if the box is the problem or the TV? I have no picture, but it isn't the picture tube.

I assume that you are attempting to use the Magnavox converter box to convert digital TV signals received by your antenna system into analog signals for use on an older analog (non-digital) TV set. If that is the case then your first step at troubleshooting the problem should be to view the Magnavox installation instructions to ensure that the converter, antenna, and TV are all properly connected.

How long have you owned the tv? You have two options though your best bet is to locate your nearest authorized service center to have the tv repaired.

Where can I get a manual for Magnavox TV Model # RD 0946 T102. Can You please tell me where to get one?

I think you may have gotten the model number wrong........It should be 2 numbers, 2 letters, 3 numbers, then 1 more letter........example: 32MD304V You might try a combo of the numbers you have, that might work...if not, will have to call customer support at 866-341-3738. Also, see attached for an image of example on how to find the model #. Hope this helps! 25321135-xkjoijzdmsbzgyxlspgmc3vi-5-0.gif http://www.magnavox.com/support/download_list.php?model=0946T102

Why does neither the co-axial cable from my DVR Cable box nor the one from my TV fit into the coaxial plug on the Magnavox ZV427MG9 DVD Recorder/VCR Combo ?

Check the coaxial cable connector type. There are two kinds--one that look like the RCA connector that you can just push in.

The other kind has a nut that you have tighten over the coaxial cable connector on the DVD recorder.

I want to record a TV program and can't figure out how to do it. I have a Fisher HVD-805 model VCR player and a Sylvania HD TV. I have checked the plugs, cables etc and they are ok.

You must also connect antenna/cable to your VCR antenna/cable input, and then tune the desired channel at VCR and start recording, if your TV has video and audio outputs you can use them too, just connect them to line inputs of VCR, select them and start recording, this is more convenient when your VCR has only VHF/UHF but no cable channels tuner.

DVD input with signal access

IF I understand you correctly, the VCR, Satellite, etc is connected using an RF modulator/coaxial cable wire going into Antenna in

IF this is true, then you have an AV IN port (red, yellow, white) free on the back. Just connect the red, yellow, white from the out of the DVD - you can use 1 or 2 - just remember which one you used; and connect it to the AV IN on the back of the TV.

THEN press ch down on the TV remote until you get to "AV1" - it is below channel 2; double check DVD player to make DVD is playing and voila!
