Question about GE Televison & Video
Hello. My Dish network remote (code 4.0 for upstairs, remote #2) has an error, and I purchased as GE Universal Remote (#24922) to use while waiting for my replacement. The TVs upstairs all tune into the same channel, and are all in sleep mode (where it says ''Press 'Select' to continue''). I programmed the remote with all the available codes for Dish network, and I even tried a manual serach, but still I cannot get the screen to change so that I can watch channels. Can this remote support the system of having no receiver upstairs and the upstairs TV responding to just the remote? Thanks.

SOURCE: Cannot connect second tv to Dish
If this is a replacement TV I would say you are probably better off with the universal remote if you are not able to bring up the menu using the front buttons on the set. Call me if you like and I will see what solution we can arrive at based on your receiver type and TV.
Sorry, to hear of your trouble as well Mary and that we lost you as a customer.

Hello, this is Nick Franta with DISH.
