Find a replacement ac adapter on ebay or amazon it should work on variable currents and amperes. And it should function just fine. Or go to radio shack and buy a 12v adapter that has different tips that you can switch around and find the right tip and your off. Ok, I know this solution is a little too late but tell me if it was still able to help you.

Power cord was pulled out and looking to replace the cord

Two types of power cords--ones that are soldered into a board inside the set and ones that plug onto a socket inside.

Almost any standard POLARIZED cord will work for the soldered in ones---Polarized cords at the plug have two lugs--one larger than the other---

The large pin goes to the neutral side of the electrical outlet--if replacing a soldered in cord you MUST get them the same.

The larger lug on the cord will have a white stripe on that side or a rough surface.

Neutral to neutral and hot to hot---the hot side in the set goes to the fuse.

This has been around for decades--it prevents the cord from being plugged in backwards (Polarity) and if installed backwards the set will work but you will have 120 volts potential voltage on all external metal fittings like the CABLE fitting---sparks will happen when you try to put the coax to the set and it will feed this back to all sets via the cable in your home.

Get it right the first time----a cord that plugs onto pins will have this also but the plug on the cord if original (Toshiba in this case) will not permit this reverse polarity because of the shape of the plug itself at the end of the cord.

TV turns on with no picture

Try first unplugging power cable for ten minutes.

If that does not work, it is an internal problem.

Post tv make and model, and let me know if you get any error message or light blinking a number of times.

Mysony wega KDP-57WS655 press power button straight to standby flashing 10 times

Indicates a problem with the high voltage circuit. You could try unplugging the power cord, plug it back in and try again. If that doesn't work unplug the power cord again but leave unplugged for at least five hours and try again. Still doesn't work find a local repair shop that works on sony tvs and have them fix it for you.

The tv a/c power cord have internal damages short on the head of the a/c plug itself. This work job is pretty simple if u can do a basic soldering jobs and have tools like a soldering iron and a roll of solders.Look around in ur house for a table portable lamp u don't used anymore unsolders and take that portable lamp a/c power cord.It have very simular design and make of a power a/c cord.Take the tv aparts simplely just unsolder the old tv power a/c cord and replace it with a portable table lamp a/c power cord. Those stars srews on the tv are called Allan wrench screws, must a have a set of Allan wrench screws drivers to use take out this screws out of the tv.Some ealier DLP tvs set made by GE are using these Allan wrench screws, tries to make it much more difficult to take the tv aparts as GE they're trying not to allow tvs owner to take the tv aparts.Or have any friend to help u can do it,have a soldering iron,a rolls of solders, have basic soldering skills.A Allen wrench screws drivers set u can buy it anywhere in a hardware store.

I have a philips 60pp9363 60in that worked beautiful for four years now it just wont power up period. No sound,no picture, no power light, no nothing. and it worked perfect yesterday.

The place to begin is with the fuse----with the set unplugged follow the power cord into the set---there is a fuse on the narrow right board--it can be checked--there are two on that board--one near the cord and another foward--you cannot just look at them--check them like any other fuse.

Sometimes a power surge or outage will take the AC fuse--it is the one right where the power cord comes in.

LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED HELP OR HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.

Missing power cord

HELLO AND NO YOUR AMP SUPPLY IS'NT THE RIGHT AMOUNT YOUR CORD ONLY SUPPLIES 2.5 AND YOUR T.V. CALLS FOR 5.2 IT'LL RUN YOUR T.V. BUT THE REASON IT WONT WORK IS BECAUSE YOUR T.V. WILL PULL 5.2 AMPS AND YOUR CORD IS ONLY RATED FOR 2.5 IN TIME THE CORD WILL BURN OUT OR GET HOT AND CAUSE A POSSABLE FIRE.
