First of all, update your java runtime environment software to the latest version for here:
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Then update your Adobe flash player software to the latest version.
For Internet Explorer you need this update:
http://majorgeeks.com/Adobe_Flash_Player_for_Internet_Explorer_d5163.html

For Firefox, Netscape, Opera and Chrome use this update:
http://majorgeeks.com/Adobe_Flash_Player_for_Firefox_Mozilla_Netscape_Opera_d7806.html

If that doesn't fix it you might have some viruses and malware.

Start your PC and press F8 several times until the boot menu comes up. Then select "Safe Mode with Networking". Now get some or ALL of the FREE programs below.

Download, Install and Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5756
When Installing choose the non-pro version.

Download, Unzip, Install and Run TDSSKiller:
http://majorgeeks.com/Kaspersky_TDSSKiller_d6895.html

Download, Install and Run Super Anti-Spyware:
http://majorgeeks.com/SUPERAntiSpyware_d5116.html

If you have an outdated Anti-virus program then Download, Install and Run Avira Anti-Virus:
http://majorgeeks.com/Avira_AntiVir_Personal_-_FREE_Antivirus_d955.html
Make sure to select ALL of the "threat categories" when you install or configure Avira...

You should be in pretty good shape if you run and install all of these programs.

• First of all, make sure that your computer is up-to-date on all Java and Flash software.
- Download the java updates here: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
- Download the flash updates here: http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
• Reboot computer to apply changes and try.
• If that does not work, run a spyware and a virus scan on your computer. Windows Defender will check for spyware and it is free. Avast Antivirus will check for viruses and is also free.
- Download Windows Defender here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=435BFCE7-DA2B-4A6A-AFA4-F7F14E605A0D&displaylang=en&mg_id=10134
- Download Avast Antivirus here: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
• If those steps haven't helped, let's try different web browsers. The main ones for Windows, besides IE, are, Firefox, Safari, and Opera. Try them one at a time to see if you have success viewing your e-mail messages.
- Download Firefox here: http://www.mozilla.com/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.5&os=win&lang=en-US
- Download Safari here: http://www.apple.com/safari/download/

I know this seems like alot to absorb, but somewhere in these steps, I believe you'll find the solution to your problem. Good luck and let me know if I can be of further assistance.

You will have to try booting from your Operating System CD and "Repair Windows." Once you get the computer up and running, you should boot into Safe Mode and install "SUPER AntiSpyware," "AVAST Home Free" and Spyware Blaster (links below). These will have to be downloaded from another computer because you will not have access to internet while in Safe Mode. After installing all three, reboot the computer, booting into Safe Mode once again, and run the three programs.

AVAST Home Free (Full Anti-Virus Protection)

Computer runs slow. which antivirus is best for installing.

Hi,
Microsoft works constantly to release updates to Windows and other Microsoft products, including Office. At Microsoft Update, you can find and install all these updates—not just the critical ones. Often, these updates will improve your computer's performance.
You can make life easier by automating Microsoft Update so your computer downloads and installs all the updates without you having to worry about them.
To automate Microsoft Update:
  1. In your Start menu, click Control Panel.
  2. In the Automatic Updates dialog box, check the Automatic (Recommended) check box. You can define the time of day when your computer checks for updates. If the computer finds any updates, it will download and install them automatically for you.
  3. Click OK.
66797_peakperform09.jpg Automate Microsoft Update to keep your computer up to date.
Install antivirus and antispyware programs Computer viruses and spyware (hidden software that gathers information about you without your knowledge or consent when you're using a computer) both reduce system performance. Computer viruses can not only reduce performance, but they can also destroy data. Any computer that accesses the Internet should have antivirus and antispyware programs installed.
Smooth running
Follow these steps and you'll have your computer purring like a vintage Porsche (or whatever your dream car of choice is). And the best part? Maintaining your computer is a lot less messy than an automobile. You don't even have to roll up your sleeves

It may not be a virus. It sounds more like a bad case of spyware. You may want to download, install, update, and run something like Malwarebytes AntiMalware. It sounds pretty serious, so it may need the attention of a PC technician to fully remove the infection.

Hope this helps!

Personally I think that Avast might be your best bet and it is free. Avast is like AVG, however from my experience I have seen Avast catch a lot of virues that AVG didnt catch. Also another thing that you need to do is run Spybot or any other spyware cleaner in Safe Mode, this way the viruses or spyware wont re-install themselves while you are running the scans. To download avast, just go to www.avast.com and download/install the home edition. Once you have downloaded and installed it, let it run a boot-time scan ( it will ask you this when you first install Avast ). Also you try other spyware cleaners such as adaware (www.lavasoft.com) and/or Windows Defender (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/defender/default.mspx). BTW, if you decide to run AVG and Spybot in safe mode and dont know how to get into safe mode, do the following:

1. At boot-up, continually press F8 until a list comes up
2. Choose Safe Mode from the list

Let me know if this helps you out.

first I would download a free anti spyware tool, like spybot, malware bytes also windows defender works pretty well. It sounds like a browser hijack possibly, I would scan for spyware before anything else.

What to do when your pc is filled with trojan virus?

Ad-aware SE is free and is very good for removing trojans and spyware. you can download it here http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-2007-Free/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5 just remember to update it 1st but if your computer protests to much just run it and quarenteen all of them at the end. it dose not have real time scanning or auto update so when you do use it update it 1st always... a good free antivirus like avast will help keep them out and a good firewall is essential too like zonealarm. But, if you want to buy the good av kaspesky is the one you want. I hpoe this help "Fix Ya"
