SOURCE: We have a 9000 btu portable frigidare air

Wow maybe you have a lot of moisture in the air.
It is a strong posibility the pump has trash in it. periodically clean out the pump for best results.
I realy have never even seen a 9000 btu portable ac or worked on one. Just guessing.

This is your condensation build up on the A/C unit. You will have to have a drain on it all of the time. Should have a drain that goes outside. The more humidity the more water run off you will have.

My portable ac says to add water, how do i do that

There are 2 issues.
The first is that there is a water container in which you must fill water so the compressor cools. This is housed usually in the side. There is an automatic push panel on the side of the unit which when pushed opens the door. The container sits inside which needs to be taken out and filled daily.

The other is the water that condenses because of cooling the air. This settleas at the bottom of the ac. Bend down abd you will see a drain plug and a rubber blocker. Unscrew the drain plug and pull the rubber. All the condensed water will flow out. It can be messay so preferably drain in the bathroom.

My unit keeps pouring water out what does that mean it also keeps saying full how do I make it stop or how do I empty it?

In case you have misplaced your owners manual, I have included a link to one that is almost identical to yours. There are several ways to drain the water collection tank. So, I want you to be able to choose the one that fits your situation the best.

You can download and print the manual for future reference.

Soleus A/C unit is leaking water out of drain plug

it is working well, possibly has a bad sensor to tell you it's full but put a permanent drain on, run it in the sink or dump it more often. just means it's pulling out excessive amounts of moisture

Same problem with the leaking from the base of the soleus unit

There is nothing wrong with the unit, you just are in a humid area, the water is from the air.

The water is being pulled from the air, that is part of how it cools, by condensing water.

Some units have hose fittings that can be hooked up to normal garden hoses and routed outside.

You could also install something like that yourself.

My Unit is running but is saying it is full

yes you do need to drain the water that has built up. there is a little hose with a plug in it located at the bottom rear under the exhaust hose. but be sure to drain it somewhere so that you don't ruin your floor. the water of course builds up from the ac's condensor. It doesn't take all that long to get full either.

Solebus heating

yes, it is intended that way. I also have a Soleus and a special manual addendum sheet was inside the manual and it pointed out this feature..I think Soleus had a lot of customer phone-ins over this...I guess the idea for the exhaust is to withdraw moisture from the room, since anytime air is heated or cooled, moisture is a by-product that must be eliminated.
