Question about Craftsman 48" Cut Riding Lawn Mower Deck Belt 174368
I have an MTD LT 1238 riding mower that will not go forwards or backwards. I believe the drive belt has come loose but I cannot find a diagram so I can check to see if this is the problem.

This link will send you to the illustrated parts list on the john deere site. It shows the belt routing in the part diagram. Hope this solves your headache.

It is time to replace the driven wheel. When you flip the mower up on the back end (after closing the vent on the top of the fuel cap), the driven wheel is the disc that has rubber on the outer edge that rides on the silvery disc that comes off the end of the motor. The last time I bought one was about 7 years ago, at which time it cost me about $7.85. I would expect it to be around $11-12 these days.
