Question about Kenmore 54501 Dehumidifier
Dehumidier turns on & motor appears to be woring but no water collects in the bucket. Filter has been cleaned & the unit was not used toomuch during the winter. Any suggestions- I think the unit is about 3-4 years old.
It is more than likely the compressor is not running, only the fan.
It seams that the humidity sensor is flaky on these units. You can,
operate the unit, by opening up the dehumidifier and unplug the sensor from the main board. The unit will cycle on and off and remove the water from the air.....good luck
