Question about Microsoft Computers & Internet
I have a custom computer and an running windows 7. recently the screen split horizntally, placing the top forth at the bottom of the screen moving the task bar and the bottom third up to fill the void. when i start up the asus motherboard screen shows the way its supposed to. and the windows start up screen does as well. but when it get to the password its split the way i explained. i'm sure its a program error or discrepancy but don't know what it is. i've downloaded multiple games that i purchased on steam that have been working fine even after multiple restarts. my wife has been doin these survey sites that i have no idea what they are and don't know if shes been downloading anything or not. how can we fix this problem?
It sounds like the the split screen mode in windows 7 has accidently been activated. you can set the task bar at any location, (top, bottom or side) by right clicking a blank area of the taskbar and then left click on properties. Try that and if things still arent correct, try grabbing the sides (or top or bottom) and dragging them to their correct location. (To drag....place mouse curser on edge, hold left button and move mouse to place)
