When on treadmill there is a "studder"

Check if the running belt is lubricated. You can't run an engine without oil. So, spray a good quality silicone lubricant on the base of the running belt. It is best if you spray on a lint free cloth just enough to make a wet patch. Do it outside so that no spray residue lands on the floor and becomes slippery or lands on the carpet and stains it, then return inside and lift the treadmill running belt and soak or smear the base with the wet patch of the cloth and run for a full minute. Then lift the belt again and give it another swipe on the entire base, then feel the base with your fingers or hand to see if it feels wet and smooth. Run the treadmill for another minute at slow speed, otherwise the liquid can fly and splatter on wall or floor. If it still hasn't solved the problem, then it must be the motor brushes, or it may be set to run slow and fast according to the running settings on the console. Mine does the same thing if it is programmed to do 1 minute slow and one minute a bit faster. Good luck.

Hi, I used to work in a commercial gym and part of the weekly maintenance was to lubricate the belt. Oil will be available from your machine's manufacturer. If it's a home use treadmill frequency will be much less and your manual / manufacturer will be able to advise at what interval, usually in hours. Hope this helps.

How do i lub the belt

Loosen the walk belt by loosening the two adjuster bolts at the rear or the belt a couple of turns. Take your oil and reach your hand under the belt and smear the oil on the smooth board under the belt. After tighten the bolts, start the treadmill and adjust the side to side on the walk belt. The oil will coat the back of the walk belt and you are done!

Hope this was helpful.

My belt is skipping. How do you tighten it and does it need oil

Lubrication will not stop the belt from slipping. If you do lubricate it, do not use oil, use whatever is recommended by the manufacturer, probably silicone.

It is likely your belt is stretched to the point that is needs replacement. You can order a new one through Treadmill World

Tredmill not moving

That's an embarrasing admission. A treadmill works like a conveyor belt or a car's fan belt. If it is too loose it will slip under load. There will be an ajuster on your treadmill. All you have to do is tighten the belt. Do not overtighten it though. an

How do i lubricant my treadmill

it is an indicator that the belt needs lubricating. turn the power off, and lift up one side of the belt and spray a small amount of lubricant underneath the belt, onto the running board. repeat this step on the other side. turn the treadmill on and run it for a few minutes to spread the lubricant. the oil light should now go off.
this should be repeated every 5-6 months to keep the board lubricated and to reduce friction between the belt and board and will lengthen the life of your treadmill.
