I have seen other 1377c models with a 10" barrel. How is it done and where can I find the proper parts? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Danny

When i change to my mossberg 535 rifled barrel can i use the scope mount as open sights

I'm guessing it's a cantilever barrel? Mount is part of the barrel? Sticks back over the receiver? If it's not, then it should already have rifle sights. If it's a cantilever, why not mount a scope as it's designed? You can go 2 or 4 power fixed and you'll have no probs. The prob with using the mount as a sight is there is no front sight....and irons require a front and back to line up the shot. Having a back but no front, you have no sight radius.

HAVE A PRONGHORN TASCO MOUNTED ON SAVAGE 22 BOLT. SIGHTS IN OKAY AT 10 YARDS AND THEN IS HIGH AT 25. IS THERE AN ADJUSTMENT INTERNALLY IN SCOPE TO FIX THIS?

No, this is not a scope issue. The scope is raised above the centerline of the barrel, thus at 10 yards, the barrell is actually slightly raised in relation to the centerline of the scope in order to hit your point of aim. Since the front of the barrel is slightly inclined, at 25 yards the bullet is still rising in relation to the scope alignment. Backing up to 50 yards you will begin to see the bullet start to drop back down, at 100 yards it may drop as much as 8-10 inches, and at 200 yards, it may drop as much as 52 inches. This is assuming that you are shooting a standard velocity .22 long rifle cartridge (1050 feet per second or so).

Browning shotgun sweet sixteen age and value

In general, a 1950s Sweet Sixteen is a valuable gun. Measure the distance from the trigger to the end of the **** stock to get the "legnth of pull" (LOP). this was 14 1/14 " when it left the factory. If it is shorter, the value will be less.

Without seeing it, although many have been altered which would bring a price $350 - $450 area.

This guide might help if you can determine the condition : OS is 1958.
AUTO-5 SWEET 16
- 16 ga., 2 9/16 in. chamber from 1937-1940, and 2 3/4 in. chamber from 1947-1975, similar configuration to Lightweight, 12 and 20 ga., gold plated trigger, 10 oz. lighter than Standardweight Model 16 ga., 1937-1940 mfg. Sweet Sixteens were available in pre-war Grades I, III, and IV. Mfg. 1937-1975 by F.N.

Grading ...............98% ....95% ....90% ........80% ........70%
Plain Barrel .......$950 ...$825 .......$725...... $625 .......$500
Solid Matte Rib $1,300 .$1,075 ....$950 .......$825 .......$700
Vent. Rib .........$2,100 .$1,650 .....$1,225 ...$1,050 ....$875

Subtract 20% for front safety.
Subtract 20% for 2 9/16 in. chamber.

I can't get the front differential out of my 1995 S-10 pickup. It is free from all other parts (axles, u-joint, frame, etc), but I cannot get it to drop. Do I need to lift the engine to create the space...

yes you need to lift the engine a bit to get that front differential out, the best way is to take the center bolts out for the motor mounts (i'm pretty sure its set up that way) if its not, just un-bolt the mounts lift the engine with a jack and a block of wood, make sure the jack is supporting the engine before you unbolt the mounts, lift up untill you can wiggle the differential out, it takes some effort and twisting/turning the diff. to get it to come out,

Motor mount

Yes this mount supports a lot of the motor. It also supports the transmission so if you are on a down hill slope the motor will roll forward and cause a lot of pressure on the front mount. Hope this helps.
