Your lcd is probably ok, it's just a part called the flex cable (a ribbon cable that connects the board to the lcd). If the flex cable gets kinked or torn stuff like this can happen. You can find flex cables on ebay for cheap, but they are kind of tricky to replace in flip phones. There are some sites you can send it in to for repair, and there are sites like ours where you can trade it in for another phone.
The most common problem is the flex cable that runs from the main board to the LCD. The chrome end cap sometimes breaks causing the flex to break. Moisture damage can also cause this. Is the moisture indicator red?
your screen dosnt display anything?I am not quite sure what your asking but ill take a crack at it anyway.you changed the housing and when you put the phone back together the lcd stoped working,if this is the case you either disconnected your lcd or you damaged the flex cable to the lcd, either way you need to open your phone back up just the top part where the lcd is,you should beable to see the flex cable coming from the phone to the lcd if it looks connected disconect and reconnect and try it if this does not work you may need a new flex cable wich means that you may have to get a whole new keypad cause the flex cable usually only disconnects from one side, well good luck
i have the v3i and it had the same problem its usely the flex cable that messes up if its opend some times fast the screen gos white if you change the flex that should solve your problem . firstname.lastname@example.org cumputer tech
