If this is a Blu Ray Disk then your unit needs a firmware upgrade to be able to play the new Blu ray format. Contact Samsung for the upgrade file, burn to a DVD and run. The update will allow your unit play the new BR Format.

SOURCE: Blue ray won't play Avatar?
There is a firmware update for the BD-HP22. I had the same problem with Avatar but after I installed the firmware update, it loaded and ran smooth. Use the USB flash drive that came with the player or any other usb flash drive to load the firmware update. Check the link below for instructions and update file from Sharp's website.

Go to www.sharpusa.com and look for a software update. Download into a usb and plug the usb into your blu-ray player. There should be a usb port right at the front. Press menu using your blu-ray remote and go to settings. From there go to software update and click enter. If you have a password on your blu-ray then enter it in, if you have not set one then press enter to start checking data in your USB device. Once it detects it, click yes to start the software update. (NOTE: make sure that there is ONLY the software update in the usb, and other folders or files otherwise it will not update). Once you press enter to start updating, give a few minutes for it to update by itself. Once its done, just turn off the blu-ray and take out the usb. Turn it back on and try putting a blu-ray movie in there. I hope this helps, give me your feedback if it does not. Good luck.
