Question about Ahead Software Nero 6.0 (60045) for PC

Burning files to DVD..............

I have Windows XP and recently had my CD burner replaced with a Pioneer +/- DVD burner. I'm told that the software for this is Nero 7, but I cannot burn files as I want to. Even using multisession, with finalise unticked, it will onle burn one file but refuses to let me add more without first deleating what I've already burned (until I get this problem sorted out I'm using RW discs).

Is the software for these burners only Nero, or should there have been some other software? I'm disabled and also not clever with computers. If anyone can help me resolve being able to burn multiple files, but not all in one go, I'd be very grateful, especially if you can treat me as a novice, who does not understand computers.

I always use Aimersoft DVD Creator, it can easily convert all popular video formats (AVI, MP4, MPG, MPEG, 3GP, WMV, ASF, RM, RMVB, DAT, MOV, FLV, etc) to DVD and burn DVD movie played on portable and home DVD players, that's very good, you can check it out here for free:

Hi,
You should be able to fill a DVD with files and burn using Nero.
Open Nero Smartstart ,Set to DVD,data, make Data DVD
then open a browser window, ie press the windows flag key and "E", locate the directory of files you want to burn, drag them into the Nero page. You should see the progress bar at the bottom of the screen gradually move towards the 4500MB position - this is the maximum for a DVD.
When you have listed all the files you want to burn, press next, change the disc name if you wish. Your DVD drive should be listed above the disc name - something like E:ASUS DRW-1608P3S ( this is my drive) then press "Burn"
If all is well, the drawer will open and you must insert a blank DVD into the drive. The files will then be written to the the disc.

If it does not work let me know and we can investigate further.

cheers

You don't need a driver since that support is provided by the OS. As far as software, we cannot supply you with copyrighted software as it's illegal. You will have to purchase burning software like Nero or other compatible burning software. No burning software is required to burn a music or data cd disk since it's built-into Windows XP and above. If your drive is missing from Device Manager and My Computer, try using this file to fix that problem: http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/files/file/8-cdgone/

I have no driver may cd/dvd burner. please give me free driver?

The device-driver for CD/DVD devices is built-in to Windows XP/Vista/7.

If you want FREE software to help you burn disks, see: http://www.MajorGeeks.com
and search for "AShampoo Burning". Download this FREE software.
Install it. Use it.

Windows XP and Vista have built-in support for reading/writing CD/DVD disks -- you don't need a "device-driver" at all.

If you want FREE software to make it easier to collect files and burn CD/DVD disks, access http://www.MajorGeeks.com
and download 'AShampoo Burning 6', and install it.

SOFTWARE CANT FIND DVD DRIVES

Sounds like a problem with Windows XP; but it could be a lot of things. Can you remember if you installed any software or Windows updates just prior to this? It's possible that one of the Windows DLL's that interfaces with your burners is missing or corrupted.

I would do these things to troubleshoot:

1. Try using System Restore to restore the computer to a point before your burners stopped working.

2. Check the burner manufacturers support sites to see if anyone has had this problem. They may have a link to a file (DLL) that you need to replace.

If both burners are visible in My Computers, but you just can't burn, then I strongly suspect that a Windows DLL file is missing or corrupted.

Need a driver download for a pioneer dvr-x122 lost the cd

Windows contains the support for reading CD-disks and "data" DVD disks.
You need software, e.g., from 'www.PowerDVD.com', to play a movie on a DVD-disk.
You can get _free_ software from 'www.majorgeeks.com', named "Ashampoo Burning 6", to allow you to write CD-R and DVD disks.

I recently bought a QPS 525 at a estate sale, does a person need software to run it?

Windows XP has "built-in" software for writing CD-R disks.

Or, download the FREE "Ashampoo Burning" CD-writer software from http://www.MajorGeeks.com

Version 6 is "free", and Version 9 (which is *NOT* free) is good software.

How to use my cd burner

Windows XP has built-in CD/DVD burning support, but it is very basic. Simply right-click on any file you wish to burn and choose "Send To" then select your DVD drive. Doing this will add the files to your "burn queue". At any time after that, you can click "File" then choose "Write Files..."

Or, you can use a better program like Nero or Alcohol 120 ...or about 1000 other CD/DVD burning programs on the internet. It's really a matter of personal preference, and price :)

Hope this helps - remember to rate :)

Writer will read but not burn

Can you remove the burning software and try to burn by dragging files using the built in windows xp imapi? Check the event viewer for any system events around the time when you are having problems. Also try following these instructions: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314060 If you have another pc you can try the burner with, you would be able to rule out software issues.
