Question about Dell Latitude D520 Notebook
To open the lid you need to remove the rubber stops to access the screws.
once the screws have been removed you can gently remove the bezel (the plastic suround).
you can now access the screws on the side of the screen to release the screen from the hinges.
DO NOT TOUCH THE TOP SECTION OF THE SCREEN
you can now bring the screen a little forward the access the video cable.
Once here make sure the video cable is secure.
Honestly !! I dont believe this will solve your problem as most times when lines appear on the screen, it usally indicates the screen is on the way out
