If we're working with laptop, make sure that the wireless switch of your laptop is on, i know its a simple troubleshooting step but most of the time this is being ignored. (the wireless switch of laptop turns off automatically to save energy if you are using battery) if we're working with a desktop which has a wireless adapter, make sure that you installed it completely and properly. check the device manager and check if its enabled. if this is done properly, the wireless light on the modem is lit every time you're gonna try to connect wirelessly. if your computer will ask you to enter the wireless passphrase or password, look at the bottom of your modem, it should have a 10-digit code which is enclosed with a bracket. use it as your wireless password.to know the network name, look at the SN on your modem. get the last 3 numbers. you will have 2Wirexxx as your network name.

so there it is, hope this helps.

Can i use Dir 300 on a windows 7? my desktop's OS is vista while my laptop's is windows 7.. would like to know if it supports windows 7..

Yes, this product is compatible with Windows 7.
To note, if you are upgrading to Windows 7 from either Windows Vista or Windows XP check before installing that your Wired/Wireless equipment on your computer will have compatible drivers for Windows 7.

Since upgrading WRT150n router firmware, to be

Have you had a look on the firewall website for a suitable firewall system that compliments windows 7?
I had to download a new one myself when I went from Windows XP to Windows Vista.

Sometimes changing systems means you should also change your firewall, then you'll have the most up-to-date software going. Plus it won't slow your computer down like it doesn't sometimes.
Hope I helped Dr Reed

Windows Vista Internet Connection problem

Are you on the wireless internet or on the internet through a cat5 cable? If on through the wireless I think its a wouter issue. try upgrading the firmware of your router first. If that doesn't work try using a different router. Also try upgrading your drivers on your computer for however you are connecting to the internet. Either your network card or your wireless card via device manager. One of those solutions should solve the problem.

Mr814v2 wireless router not working with vista

You may need to update the firmware in the router in order for it to be compatible with windows vista. In the router setting there should be an area to upgrade the routers firmware. If this doesn't work please refer to this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928233

This router F5D7230-4 can I use it with windows vista

Provided you connect to the router with an ethernet cable or wireless it will be fine. However the network adapter and/or wireless adapter in your computer (the computer's side of the wired or wireless connection) may have driver issues (as in there may be none, if you are considering an upgrade to vista).

when you upgrade to vista, there will be a summary page as to what programmes and hardware are not supported just before the initial installation takes place, or download this vista upgrade advisor first http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/buyorupgrade/upgradeadvisor.mspx
