Unable to install sound drivers and any softwares,... (by 2 users)

i am ubable to instal audio drivers and also unable to install any softwares. It is saying not a valid win32 apllication. My dvd rom (brand new) is reading software cd but unable to install drivers or softwares. But i am able to format the system. My freind saying it is problem with the motherboard
