I have a new lg mini split that fan runs continuous on indoor unit. Customer does not like this. Is there a way to change settings or add a hard wired tstat?

there is a problem in where the unit is installed ( too high) ,the setting for the temperature is too low( recommend 25 C, the doors and windows are open or the unit is too small for the room
the thermostat is in front of the evaporator and reads the incoming air temp so hard wiring a thermostat some where else will not turn the fan off
maybe your customer should have the ac unit operation explained
of course if it is a plug in power lead , it could always be turned off at the wall or if hard wired there should be a circuit breaker in the hard wired wire

Getting an E4 Code and the air is not as cool as the temperature reading indicates. How to fix?

I think it is low on gas. You will have to call the repairman on this one. If it is real old, just replace it.

if it is carburated you need to adjust the fast idel and the choke if it is fuel injected try checking the temp on the coolant temp sensor with a scanner the temp might be reading wrong if it is differant than ambiant temp in the morning change sensor

AC thermostat does not control AC. AC runs continuously. Have to shut system off to stop AC.

are you using the old coventional thermostat? using mercury

or was it digital?

chances are the reason it is not stopping because it can not detect the right temp inside your house, if you have set this for example 74F AC would run continouisly until it reaches that right temp, until that time, it would surely not stop,

check for any windows, door that might cause some air leaks inside your house for a start, close all exhaust fan and see if you can see any difference, if not this might be the right time to change for a digital temp control, it not that expensive and easy to install
