American megatrends is the producer of the BIOS. Your only hope is to do a hard rest of it: open the pc and remove for 5 minutes the big silver cell battery. If even after that you can't fix it then the motherboard is dead, replace it.

American megatrend removeal


American Megatrend is the name of a hardware manufacturer. If they are installing something it is probably an interface for the UEFI Firmware. Removing that sort of thing may hurt your system and thus, I would not recommend it.

However, if you want to remove it, and it can be removed, just look under Control Panel, Programs and Features. If it is listed there it should be removal from there.

american megatrends is the Bios (Basic input output system)
It is being displayed because you may have turned off the fast boot up mode if your operating system is windows 8 or windows 10.

This will then not display the post part of the bios at start up.

You may have been infected with malware or Virus.


I use Norton360, Malwarebytes and Malwarebytes Anti-exploit on my machine.

When I open my PC appears a warning from American Megatrend Inc which prompts me to press F1 to resume.
